Level Gacha ~ It turns out the dump stat 『Luck』 is the most important – Roll 43 – Starting to clean up afterwards

So Luck can decide if rare monsters can appear?

“If this hypothesis is correct, it would make sense that no one ever saw this rare monster. I doubt anyone can even fulfill the conditions that make it spawn.”

But I managed to follow the slime line all the way to the rainbow slime with sixty Luck. If we follow them in order, that much Luck should have meant there was a one percent chance it would spawn.

As for that golden worm, my Luck didn’t even hit four hundred and fifty before I rolled the gacha. In fact, I had to hunt four hundred of those monsters before it spawned. That’s a twenty five percent expected value.

If it really was just twenty-five percent, that means the odds of someone with ten Luck making one spawn… Are zero point six? Could it be that they don’t spawn at all if the odds fall below one percent?

“…It’s an interesting theory, but if that’s the case, does that mean we just need to warn people with a Luck of eighteen or up?”

It’s a pretty interesting topic. If I really get into it, I might not get it out of my head, but…

‘This is team A. How are things there?’

“It will take a while.”

‘Understood.’

Not good, not good. I got too deep in thought.

I’m not going to pick up any items this time. It’s all about hunting.

◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇

“Ninety-nine!”

That Hawk Eye skill that came out of the UR capsule is really useful. Basically, it adds vision from above an area from a radius of ten meters from my current position. Not only that, but it works with Automatic Mapping, creating two combo skills.

First, Even unexplored forests that I can’t see through are reflected on the map.

Second, with Hawk Eye’s effective range, I can clearly see monsters even if there are things in the way.

The first one is good for new places, while the second allows me to see not just what monsters look like but even where they’re facing. It’s a really useful skill, especially for someone like me who tends to go after specific monsters.

“A hundred!”

I watch the smoke coming from its corpse. With my Luck, it should spawn one out of three times, but…

Bubble bubble.

“It’s here! Team A, respond.”

‘This is team A.’

“I have confirmation of the signs of a rare monster spawning. It should be heading there within minutes.”

‘Understood! Everyone, take defensive positions!’

There’s some distance to the corner, but the smoke in the form of a fluff bug moves like it’s sliding. It’s faster than the first time.

“Does it change speed depending on how far it is? Does that mean the smoke always takes about the same time to get there?”

I think, as I reach my destination and meet up with team A.

“Sorry to keep you waiting.”

“Nice work! So that’s the smoke that spawns a rare monster…!”

Hm. So they can’t see it the moment the monster turns to smoke, but they can when it’s time for a rare monster to spawn…? Is it because it’s mostly the rare monster that it’s in there at that point?

And as I think that, the second golden worm appears.

“Ooh…”

“It really did come out!”

“This is team A, reporting to all teams. We have confirmation of target. It’s as the video showed, a golden monster. No errors in Appraisal’s information!”

I guess it makes sense for them not to believe tales of purposefully making rare monsters spawn. I can hear the escorting adventurers mumble things to that effect.

‘Main group, understood. Amachi, please take it down.’

“Amachi here, understood. Well then… It might be a little dangerous, so please stand back.”

“Yes, be careful.”

Everyone moves back into the forest.

“Here we go…”

I look at it again, and see the golden worm spawned with Adamantine Armor active. That means that no matter what, the first attack isn’t going to work.

In that case…

“Oryah!”

I pick up a rock and throw it.

Bam!

‘Shrr shrr!?’

As I thought, the Effect of Adamantine Armor activates, and it disappears. All it takes is a little power to activate it… Hm, it will be the same when I use it, so it might be rendered useless by a nothing attack.

I need to make sure to dodge what I’m able to dodge.

‘Shrrrr!!’

The golden worm looks mad. It’s facing this way and howling like it’s trying to intimidate me. But… It’s not using Adamantine Armor. And I don’t feel pressure like it’s using Adamantine Wall either.

“You’re wide open. I’m using Super Strength II, and Swift II.”

Slash!!

【Level up】

【Leveled up from twenty to thirty-nine】

The golden worm goes down all too abruptly. It’s really weak if it’s not given time to attack.

As for items… It’s all of them, of course.

Youko explained this whole operation, but Aki set up some rules beforehand, they’re mostly about keeping me a secret, but the most important one was about dropped items.

Dropped items are all mine. Well, I think it’s an appropriate reward for an outside helper who checks the spawn of rare monsters, and takes responsibility to take them down. I’m the one making them spawn in the first place.

And it goes without saying that I want to promote these skills to II. I use all the skill orbs, and put the golden seed and golden cup in my backpack, before heading to the next spot.

“I’m going. We don’t know where point E’s will appear, so please stay here.”

“Understood. Good luck.”

And so, I hunt golden worms.

“B spot down!”

“I’m heading to E spot, but I’m going to take a break, so stand by for now.”

‘Understood. I’m sure you’re tired from fighting them in a row. Take your time.’

“Thanks.”

After finishing up in D spot, I tell them I’ll be late.

It’s not like I’m really tired, but after leveling up in the last spot, there’s only ten capsules left in the gacha box.

I sit down behind a tree in a forest without any people or monsters, and press the ten spins button.
