About the case of destruction flags being demolished after a nichiasa loving otaku was reincarnated as a villainous student – Chapter 99 – Side: Main characters (The boy really is facing something unexpected)

“Ah? Aah? Aah!? W-wait! Why are there three!?”

Isaac was clearly shaken by the sight of the golems running towards him. He was panicking.

He thought he might be seeing things, but no matter how many times he checked, there were three Bull Golems.

Not only that, but one appeared to be bigger than the other two, and seemed to lead them.

A boss with two lackeys was not an unusual sight in a videogame, but Isaac’s composure was completely gone.

(T-three? Is this a side-effect of what Zenon did? U-uh? Was the game always like this? I-I don’t really do this route, s-s-so my memory is foggy…!)

He was at a disadvantage against one, but there were three. And one was clearly a boss.

Thinking about having to deal with this alone sent Isaac into a panic.

Was this another one of the side-effects of Zenon changing the story, that he had seen here and there? Was he just misremembering? Isaac did not know for sure, and his eyes wandered as he looked on with dismay.

Three of the enemy that was incompatible with his twin swords. They had the numbers advantage despite his higher stats.

Also, his stats were geared towards agility rather than stamina or defensive power. One hit from a muscle-head Bull Golem could prove fatal.

He was at an overwhelming disadvantage with no solution in sight.

Isaac started to regret not fighting the skeleton horse. He should not have tried so hard to raise Angel’s favorability.

(R-retreat! I’ll retreat! The iron rule of solo play is to not push yourself too far! If I don’t think I can do it, it’s best to live to fight another… Ah…)

With regret in his heart, he decided he was not going to get through this on his own, and finally made the decision to retreat, but… He was a little too late.

Before he knew it, the three Bull Golems were right in front of him. His panic led him to not pay attention to how far his enemies were, and right after he opened his eyes wide, his body was thrown into the air.

“Gyaaaaaaaaaah!?”

Fortunately for him, the Covert skill was active.

If the Bull Golems actually noticed him, they would have stopped and fought him.

It was entirely thanks to the Covert skill that they failed to notice him. Without it, Isaac would have been unable to avoid a tough fight.

But that was also unlucky. As stated before, the Bull Golems would have surely stopped if they noticed Isaac.

But since the monster armor beasts failed to notice him… The three Bull Golems kept on running.

As a result, the monsters made of muscles and rock that were the size of a passenger vehicle charged straight at Isaac at a furious speed.

Suffice to say, he did not stop that charge, and was completely flung away, drawing an arch, and smacking hard on the ground.

“Gabeh!? O-oguh…!!”

He groaned as pain resonated throughout his whole body, and he crawled on the ground.

He was supposed to catch a monster armor beast off-guard, but he was the one who took a lot of damage from an attack he was not expecting. This situation deepened his confusion, and he mumbled in frustration.

“T-this shouldn’t be…! Dammit! I really should’ve beaten that skeleton horse…”

And after that final grumble, Isaac crumpled, limp.

Fortunately for him, sticking to his solo play style meant no one was there to see this pathetic display, but… That also meant no one was there to help him.
