Walking in another world – Chapter 473 – Majolica’s dungeon – 40F

I give everyone their weapons before we enter the boss’ room, and summon golems once we’re inside.

This boss room is smaller than the others, and I can see the whole thing from where I’m standing.

When the monsters finally appear, the giant guards come running.

Their heavy footsteps echo as they get closer, and when they get within a certain distance, Chris unleashes the magic she already had prepared.

Her spirit magic creates a hot wind that attacks the giant guards like it’s pushing back their advance.

They almost reflexively lift their hands and shields to cover their faces, but by the time the magic’s fury settles, there are only three left standing.

“That’s amazing.”

I agree with Siphon.

I can use advanced magic too, but it’d be hard to bring out such power.

The only issue is that it ruins the materials too, but in a boss room, taking the monsters down comes first.

“Let’s do it in one push!”

Yells Siphon, and this time, we run out and attack the remaining giant guards.

But when I peek at the magic energy I feel in the back, I see the gigantes summoning new giant guards.

“It’s summoning them. Get them away from the boss!”

We do as Jin says, and withdraw while fighting the almost dead giant guards.

Orga and Rurika leave our group, and get behind the gigantes. And by attacking it when it’s moving forward, they manage to separate it from the giant guards.

It probably wouldn’t mind a regular attack, but it can’t ignore fierce long-distance attacks with the light element.

It tries to pull some giant guards towards it, but Yuno’s magic and Geitz’s skill draws aggro, and the giant guards charge this way.

“Let’s go.”

While Geitz and I stop the giant guards’ attack with the golems in front, Sera and Hikari attack them.

Sera’s attacks are heavy and fatal, while Hikari’s gradually dull their movements with the paralysis effect.

This would be easy if Chris could continuously use her spirit magic, but it makes sense that she can’t use magic that powerful one after the other.

She’s fighting with regular magic now, but even that’s strong. She can’t rapid fire, but it’s strong enough to destroy their shields.

And about ten minutes after the battle has started and most of the summoned giant guards are down, there are four left.

“This should be enough. Sora and Sera, go to the others!”

Says Siphon, and we run.

A giant guard attacks us along the way to stop us, but magic and Hikari’s throwing weapons block it, and we easily reach gigantes.

Rurika is throwing it for a loop with her rapid movements, and Orga is firing arrows from the back to support her.

Gigantes’ robe is torn and I see blood, but no real wounds. I guess it’s regenerating.

I start by using Provoke to get its attention, and dodge its attacks with the Shield Master skill Parry.

Its attacks with a khakkhara feel heavy even with a skill. It might have been a real threat if Mia didn’t cast Protection on me beforehand.

I look to the side, and see Rurika wiping sweat from her brow.

She’s probably been feeling those attacks on her skin. Even with Orga’s support, the fact that she’s been fighting it really shows how much she’s grown.

Chris and Mia’s growth stands out, but everyone else has been getting better too.

Our vanguard has been getting better at mock battles, and their techniques improving have given them more options in fights.

The same can probably be said about me, and I’m happy when I see progress or I’m praised.

“Rurika, let’s attack it at the same time.”

The two childhood friends move in perfect sync as they push gigantes.

I also attack while defending, and Orga attacks more strongly to finish this too. And not too long after, gigantes falls in front of us.

“It really is easy if you take advantage of its weakness.”
