Walking in another world – Chapter 515 – Registration

After hearing the explanation about the dungeon, Shizune says something insane when it’s time to register.

Shizune going to the dungeon with us… Well, that’s fine, but…

“Bringing Elsa and Alto along?”

“Yes. Is that impossible?”

Shizune is facing the receptionist, not me.

“There are no real age restrictions, but…”

The receptionist lady looks worried when she’s introduced to them.

I guess people don’t die if they are killed in this dungeon, but there’s a heavy penalty.

And that goes for all of us. I’m surprised Shizune is asking something like that, considering how much she likes those two.

Is she thinking about fighting while looking after them?

Everyone’s eyes focus on her, and she explains her reasoning.

“It’s not like I want to take them along, but they need to be strong to some extent.”

It’s partially because of us.

Since we conquered that dungeon and Elsa and Alto are with us, people are after them (probably). That’s why we brought them with us from Majolica.

It’s for that reason that Shizune thinks they should be able to defend themselves. And I guess the best way to improve their physical abilities is to level up.

Mock battles improve one’s technical skills, but there’s a ceiling to it. Skills with the sword don’t mean much in face of overwhelming power.

And from what I heard from the others, the blessings from leveling up are important.

“And I think with the dungeon being the way it is, I can take part, and you can fight while looking after them, right?”

Apparently that’s why she’s with us and not with Naoto’s group, because I can use my skills to protect those two, and Mia is here.

Miharu is a saint, but she’s more about attacking. Well, compared to a regular holy magic user. For her sake, I should mention that she can cast Heal and Recovery.

Elsa and Alto say after hearing Shizune’s explanation, even though they looked worried at first.

“Then you can come with us until you level up a bit. But then what, Shizune?”

“I want to go with Kaede and the others, but…”

We ask the receptionist what happens with the entry restrictions once someone leaves a party, and she says that if someone leaves, they have to wait ten days before registering again.

“…Does anyone explore the dungeon solo?”

I ask out of curiosity.

“…The current beast king has done it.”

Yes, that makes sense.

“It’s here.”

After getting that explanation about the dungeon, Kotori takes us to… A building in the center of Fors.

I was thinking about it from the way the beast king was acting, but is he going to start asking to have a match with me while we’re here?

Kotori calls out to the gatekeeper.

“Hold on a second.”

He says.

Kotori isn’t new here, but they don’t know who we are. It makes sense.

After a while, Ryuryu shows up.

“Place a drop of blood here.”

She says while handing us a magic item.

With this registration, it means the beast king accepts us, and we’re free to come and go. Important facilities not included, of course.

They don’t use cards or anything in case they’re lost, and to prevent random people from using them. Also, this only works while End is king.

It looks like we have ourselves a place to stay until the tournament is over at least. I can’t see that beast king losing, but maybe someone strong has been laying low.

Ryuryu takes us inside, and into a mansion on the grounds, that she says we can use at will.

And Kaede and the others are here. Argo, Naoto, and others aren’t, because they went to a training area.

We’re taken to empty rooms, and decide what we’re going to use.

Me? I’m staying by myself.

Then we all chat, and get dinner ready by the time the sun sets.

They’re all surprised when Shizune says she’ll cook, including the guys after they return from their training.

“So, can we go sightseeing tomorrow?”

We make plans for the next day after eating, and then go to sleep.
