Level Gacha ~ It turns out the dump stat 『Luck』 is the most important – Roll 84 – A light challenge

There’s the fact that my girlfriends recommended it, but I’m also fired up because of those treasure chests, while stepping through the gate of the high rank dungeon with Aira. I say gate, but it’s a giant dome around the dungeon, and once inside, it’s about as wide as a baseball field.

And right in the center, there is the open entrance to the dungeon.

“So there’s nothing in the dome until the dungeon itself.”

“This is where a dungeon break previously occurred. Experience from that time showed that placing equipment to counterattack it would only get in the way, so everything was taken away.”

“I see. But did they really need to cover the ceiling?”

“Yes. You haven’t faced any yet, but there are flying monsters in this dungeon. They had to prevent them from flying into town.”

“Flying… Like birds?”

“Like wyverns and dragons.”

“…I’ve only seen those mentioned in textbooks.”

“They have only been seen around the tenth or twentieth floors of this dungeon. One made it out during the last dungeon break, but it was enough to be a threat.”

“So those things appear…”

“Don’t worry, you will be facing monsters of the first floor today, master.”

Aira says while showing me her phone, with information about monsters seen on this first floor.

“Fighter goblin, ranger goblin, archer goblin, healer goblin, mage goblin, knight goblin, general goblin… So what they call the goblin corps.”

“Yes, only these appear on the first floor. They also attack in groups of three to twelve members. Most ones on the front use iron equipment, with the general goblins in particular using iron. They should be no match for you.”

“Hm… Twelve at most… Sounds kind of tricky, but this is what really draws my attention.”

I say while tracing a particular spot on the phone. The part that shows they all have skills.

Fighters have Great Strength.

Rangers have Fast Run.

Archers have Archery Lv1.

Healers have Healing Magic Lv1.

Mages have Fire Magic Lv1.

Knights have Iron Wall.

Generals have Command.

“The drop rates should be lower than rare monsters’, but it feels like you should be able to acquire a lot of basic skills on the first floor.”

“Yes. Fufu… I can’t even imagine how many I’ll have by the time I leave.”

Apparently the general goblins that appear on the fourth floor of the beginner dungeon have Great Strength instead of Command. Maybe it’s because the ones here are close to level twenty.

General goblins also appear pretty frequently in these groups, and a lot of time it’s two or three of them. It might be a chance to farm Command.

“Let’s go!”

We step into the high rank dungeon.

◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇

Dungeons that appeared all over have names, but they’re all just common names given by the association to show the level of danger or what kind of dungeons they are.

These are said to be separated into two categories.

First, there are level dungeons. These are dungeons that become higher level at a fixed rate the further down you go, like the beginner dungeon, intermediary dungeon, and high rank dungeon.

Then there are the concept dungeons. These are special dungeons like Unlucky Hall or Heart Dungeon, and ones called deep dungeons that are open to beginners and high ranks, but their level jumps up dramatically with each floor.

In this high rank dungeon, monsters are pretty strong right from the first floor, and they also attack in groups, making it a dungeon for veterans.

Once I go in, I see people that immediately come across to me like veterans, and they’re all in teams of around five.

Their eyes focus on me, as if checking out the newcomer, and then they move to Aira.

“Hey, is that…”

“Yes, the Red Goddess of Death. It’s been a while.”

“I heard she was serving the young lady of the Houjouin family, but did she change jobs?”

“You don’t get out of the Houjouin family that easily.”

Red Goddess of Death? Aira?

I peek at her face, but she has the same expression as always.

I guess it makes sense that her skills are well known. She is level one hundred and seventy after all.

“Let us proceed, master.”

“Yes.”

I follow Aira as we advance through the dungeon. This is a plain, like the second floor of the beginner dungeon, with what look like wooden settlements here and there.

“Typically, there are more goblin groups the closer we get to settlements. I told you they are twelve at most, but that is per group. Groups coming together is a real possibility, so caution is needed near settlements.”

“Understood.”

“Let us start with that group of four.”

Aira points to two fighters with long swords, a ranger with a dagger, and an archer with a bow. The fighters have iron equipment, and the others leather.

“Let’s give it a shot without skills first.”

I unsheathe just the mithril sword, and run towards them.

“Gyagya!”

The archer is the first to notice me. It yells something and fires an arrow with about as much skill as that bandit girl. I’m still far, so I block the arrow with my sword, and a fighter attacks from the front, and the ranger from the side.

I dodge the long sword by twisting my body, kick the dagger upwards, and use the momentum to slash both monsters.

“Gugyah!?”

The remaining fighter rushes to swing its sword, but I stab its wide open torso, along with the archer hiding behind it.

They quickly turn to smoke, and drop a few items.

Yes, I can fight iron armor no problem. And it’s kind of fun to fight different monsters like these.

“Nicely done master. It seems there is no problem.”

“Yes, I’ve never fought them before, but they’re not that different from regular goblins. And I have Foresight too, so the more I fight, the more I understand their moves.

Then I have Dual Wielding, support skills, and the magic I don’t generally use. Maybe I’ll use these groups to practice.”

“I will accompany you, master.”

Now let’s go farm those skills!
