“Sorry.”
After Geitz recovers from his hangover, we are ready to leave Siffert and head to Fuxto, Ryuryu’s village.
A lot of people come to see us off because the excitement of the tournament lingers. Although some say these people just want an excuse to drink.
There’s a vast grassy field west of Siffert where a nomadic tribe lives.
The Fuxto village is deep in the forest after this field, so they typically just trade with nearby villages and don’t have a lot of contact with the rest of the country.
There are a lot of tribes and villages like these in Lath, but ever since End became king, they’ve been working towards slowly ending that system.
They don’t want to be forceful, and they maintain some distance if that’s what the villages want, but they want to make sure the villages know they can count on the kingdom to help in times of need.

“Are you two all right?”
It’s been three days since we left Siffert, and Shizune is worried about Elsa and Alto as always.
“We’re fine.”
Says Elsa, and Alto nods too.
They’re getting used to traveling, but they also leveled up when they went to the dungeon with us.
Also, Siphon and the others are being considerate, and have been teaching them how to walk in a way that minimizes exhaustion. And we’re being attentive to make sure Elsa and Alto don’t push themselves too hard.
Elsa in particular tends to want to be the one to prepare food every time unless we stop her.
We have a good number of people who can cook, so we’ve been taking turns. Worst case scenario, if we’re too tired to cook, I have things from stalls that are ready to eat.
…W-well, it’s not like I’ll ever get tired as long as I’m walking.
“So Ryuryu, what’s Fuxto like?”
“It’s a village at the westernmost corner of the kingdom. We don’t get involved with other tribes and villages too much, but some people went there when there was trouble.”
She also says that sometimes someone who can hear the voice of the world is born there.
Voice of the world? It sounds like a saint or a priest who can hear oracles from the goddess. Also, her sister was the previous one.
“I see. But wait, does that mean the beast king visited the village when something happened, and that’s how they met?”
Asks an excited Rurika, but it looks like the other girls share that excitement.
Only Hikari, Shizune, and Kaina seem completely disinterested.
“Ah… Yep. But King End wasn’t really troubled, I heard he was one of the people there with the chief of his tribe.”
“Heard?”
“I was young when that happened. Ah, but I know it was love at first sight.”
According to Ryuryu, her sister is a wise beautiful woman, and the type of person everyone looks up to. And a lot of people that visited their village wanted to marry her.
“Apparently that got to be annoying, so she said she wasn’t interested in anyone weaker than her. We’re beast people, so strength is a status symbol for us, and lots of people challenged her, but…”
When the beast king won, they became engaged?
Apparently I’m not the only one to expect that to be it, but it’s not correct.
“Apparently King End was weak when he first visited the village. My sister took him down in one hit.”
So he was once weak. It’s hard to believe, but it doesn’t look like she’s lying.
But his feelings for her sister were so strong, that he trained like crazy to become strong. He even left his village to go on a journey to train.
Ryuryu doesn’t know where he went or what he did either, but ten years passed until the next time he visited Fuxto.
According to her sister, he trained his body to the point where he was unrecognizable.
Their fight lasted two days, but in the end, the beast king emerged victorious.
Is that true!? I want to yell, but no one except for the people summoned from my world seem particularly surprised.
Ah, Mia and Elsa are too. Alto tends to not really react to things, so I don’t know what he’s thinking.
Then, the chief of Fuxto at the time objected, but when End won the tournament and became king, he had to accept.
But Ryuryu also says that she heard from other villagers that half the reason why he ended up accepting was because her sister didn’t like his attitude.
