Walking in another world – Chapter 567 – Mithril sword level two

Hearing that makes me think about Leila’s mithril sword.

That one also had the level two, if I remember correctly.

“I think I’ve seen that before.”

I whisper, and feel someone grabbing me by the collar.

“Is it really possible!?”

I try to get away from Darc, but he’s holding on to me.

It’s only when Heine gets in the middle that he lets go.

“S-sorry. I got a little excited. Where did you see it?”

His eyes tell me he won’t let me go until I answer.

“In the Holy Kingdom. The owner should be… In Mahia, the capital of the Magic State of Efa, I think.”

“Mahia… All right, let’s go!”

Darc suddenly stands up, but Heine and the others stop him.

“Let go of me! I’m going to check it for myself.”

“You can’t, master. You really can’t go.”

Screams Haine.

“Don’t you remember why you came to the village? Because you were lost!”

Darc’s face turns bright red, not out of embarrassment, but anger.

Heine looks like he knows he shouldn’t have said that. But just as I’m thinking it’s going to rain blood, nothing happens. And it’s because his beast people pupils are looking at him with their round eyes.

Darc clenches his fists, relaxes them, and sits down with a thud and a big sigh.

“…Okay. Can you borrow it?”

He asks, not giving up yet, but not fully into it anymore either.

The Magic State borders the Beast Kingdom, but Mahia is far.

It’s not the same as going there and asking her to show me her sword either. She might lend it to me if I ask, but still…

Also, Darc and the others don’t know about my Transfer skill. But who knows if I can see Leila right away anyway.

“I might be able to borrow it, but… If you just want to have a look, you might be able to do that right now.”

Darc raises his head, and looks at Haine and the others like he’s asking them what I’m on about.

I can’t bring the actual word, but I have the Replication skill. I can use it to produce that mithril sword here for a short amount of time.

It works on anything I’ve held.

“But it won’t last long, so do what you have to quickly. Actually, you’ll understand better if you just see.”

I take out my mithril sword, and place it in front of them.

“Can you see this one first?”

Darc looks at it, and uses Appraisal.

“I’m going to make a mithril sword just like this one.”

I activate the Replication skill, and make another mithril sword, while feeling magic energy leaving my body.

I can hold it for about ten minutes. Even if the skill’s level has gone up, it’s hard to maintain a mithril sword for long.

“What is this…”

I hand the mithril sword to the surprised Darc.

He takes it, and after being stunned for a bit, casts Appraisal again.

After checking it enough, he places it on the floor next to the original mithril sword.

They look exactly the same, but after ten minutes pass, one disappears.

“I can create a sword I once saw through the same technique, but it will be here for an even shorter amount of time.”

Darc nods, and I wait a bit before replicating again.

I’m not teasing him or anything, I just want to replenish my MP until it’s full.

“Here it goes.”

Once it’s full, I activate Replication again to create a copy of Leila’s sword.

I held it that time when we took out an orclord.

Like before, my magic energy is drained, but it’s more than before.

Is it really because it’s level two?

And what appears in my hand is without a doubt Leila’s sword.

Appraisal doesn’t lie.

“That’s it!”

Just as I’m done checking it with Appraisal, Darc takes it from my hands.

He’s really excited. I can’t even tell him that that’s dangerous.

“Ooh, ooh…”

Darc opens his eyes wide.

“It’s true. I never thought I would see a weapon like this again.”

He has tears in his eyes.

And then the sword disappears from his hands.
