[Records regarding the miko]
Recorder: Landouno Stoffer
Leruga Nymfluol. That is the name we settled on for the place where we live. That is said to be a big step forward for this country.
Until now, we had very little interaction with the outside. We mostly kept to ourselves.
I guess the impetus for us to start stepping outside was accepting people from the Kingdom of Rezzed, a part of the Confederation of Saff.
This place is changing a lot. I really feel how the influx of people brings change. Having more friends means this country can do more. Normally, such a rapid increase in population would bring more confusion, but I believe the personalities of the king and his brother played a big part in preventing it.
Shuongalve Saff Rezzed.
Delaigal Saff Rezzed.
These two are charismatic, and treat the miko with no hostility. I would say this is what makes this peace possible.
I can easily imagine a different outcome if different people came to us. Maybe it is the miko’s influence that led to such people gathering here, and to this going well without any issues.
Is it because of the miko, or Lerunda?
I have been with Lerunda for a long time, but there is still a lot I don’t understand. I feel happy being nearby and understanding it.
The name is settled, the castle is being constructed, and so is the town around it.
My heart races at the thought of being present for such a historic moment in time.
Alice visited during the spirit festival, so she only knows this place as a village. I don’t know when she will visit again, but I’m sure she will be surprised by how this place keeps changing.
It’s hard for us to notice subtle changes, since we live here, but that won’t be the case for outsiders who visit once in a while.
I’m sure Alice will have her own point of view. We might also be inviting more people from now on, so that is another thing to consider.
We are slowly turning this into a country, but it is not enough yet. There is a lot I can’t do, so the help of civil officials from Rezzed has been playing a big part.
Even though we are living in the middle of the forest with few visits, I’m sure people will find out about us eventually. And now with a big building like a castle, it is even stranger that no one found out about it yet. Surely that is because the miko so wishes.
If we are going to build relationships with other countries and furthering friendly relations, there are bound to be many difficulties.
We don’t really have diplomats yet, but I think I am going to be in that role. I worry about being apt for that duty, but surely Lerunda believes I am.
I want to meet her expectations. If everyone wants me in that position, I will make it work.
There is a good chance people might underestimate me because of my age. Maybe that will stop being the case as time passes, but I can imagine that being a problem. I will need to do something about that, not just for me, but for everyone here.
It might be hard for me to do it alone, but surely I will manage with everyone’s help.
If we are talking about places that could be involved with our country presently, those would be the Kingdom of Migha, Kingdom of Fairytrof, Confederation of Saff, and Kingdom of Lunid.
Those are the four countries that might come to learn about us, but there is a chance others might learn and come into contact.
A lot of people here don’t know much about the outside world, myself included. It will be very important to share information with everyone as we learn it.
In particular, there are many people here who have never interacted with other countries. I believe it will be important to follow the lead of the people of Rezzed like Mister Shuongalve.
In any case, our future is still uncertain, but we have the determination to make it work.
