“Are you sure you shouldn’t stay in the village?”
I ask Kaina when it’s time to leave the village of the giants.
“…Helping you all comes first.”
She says, but she doesn’t sound too confident.
Calotos wanting her to explore the world in his place is restraining her too, so I don’t know what she actually wants.
I’m leaving a Transfer magic item in the village so I can visit it from time to time, so should I bring her with me when I do? If she changes her mind, she can just tell me she wants to stay.
The biggest reason why I’m leaving an item here is because Mia said we should periodically check if the curse didn’t come back.
Also, the elder wants to talk to the person at the top of this country if possible.
After saying goodbye to Kitos and the others, we leave the village, and I use Transfer to go back to Fuxto.
I’ve been back here a few times to report, but still, a lot of time has passed.
We spend the next three days in Fuxto, and then it’s time to Transfer back to Fors.
Transfer is useful, but I don’t like how it takes away opportunities to walk. But still, there was unforeseen trouble that really threw our plans for a loop, so it couldn’t be avoided.

I start telling him about the giants’ village, while of course, keeping Calotos a secret.
He stays quiet and listens.
“All right! Let’s go to that village!”
He yells and gets up when I finish, and suffice to say, Ryuryu gets mad at him.
“…Can you take him after things are somewhat finished here?”
I nod, and he rushes off somewhere.
“We’ll contact you when things are done over here.”
Says Ryuryu, looking happier.
I’m thinking their work might have been stagnating, and she brought me here to meet him now to motivate him.
I go back, and Rurika and the others are also in the inn. They said they were going out with Elsa and Alto, but they’re back already.
“How did it go with the beast king?”
“He says he wants to go to the village, but Ryuryu stopped him because he has work to do.”
She didn’t just stop him, she was mad too. When I tell them that, they laugh because that’s just like the beast king.
“Then we should go back to the dungeon, right?”
“Should we go to the lower floors first?”
“…Maybe, to get that feeling back.”
We’ve been doing mock battles after we returned to Fors, but we haven’t fought monsters in a while.
I also want to check how my remade weapon does.
After talking it over, we decide to go to the tenth, twentieth, thirtieth floors, and the other multiples of tenth until we get to the sixtieth floor.
Then we’ll go to the sixty-sixtieth floor, and keep going up one floor at a time.
From the seventy-first floor on, there are four legged monsters like hellhounds and orthros. I don’t think there will be any humanoid monsters until the anubis in the ninety-first floor.
There will be monsters I’ve never fought before, so I need to remember to read about them in the reference room. We need to change equipment and how we prepare based on characteristics of monsters and their attacks.
Also, monsters get stronger the further up we go, and their skin gets tougher, so I’m curious to see how far my remade weapon will go.
If it was before, it would be possible to die and come back, and try different methods that way, but it’s not that simple now.
In any case, if we want to reach the top, we have to keep advancing even more cautiously than before.
