Before we know it, we’re in a room I think is inside the white box.
However, it doesn’t have that simple feeling I got from the exterior. If anything, it feels like a wooden inn you’d see adventurers using in fantasy manga or anime.
There’s a kind of big bed by the wall, and when I look out the window, I see stars like we’re in space.
There are bottles lined up on a shelf, and they all appear to be drinks like wine.
Looking somewhere else in the room, I see it’s also equipped with a shower and toilet.
But what I don’t see is a door, and the windows don’t move.
“What is this place?”
“I think it’s inside that box…”
There aren’t any tables or chairs, so we sit on the bed and have a look around.
Honestly, from the moment we got in here, all I get is a bad feeling…
“Welcome to the room you cannot exit unless you fool around!”
“…!?”
“…Ahh…”
Wil’s face suddenly appears on a window and we hear her voice, confirming my suspicions.
Reina is surprised, but I’m relatively calm because I already knew before we got in that it had to do with Wil.
Wait, the room you cannot exit unless you fool around…
“Mu, what is that face? I went through the trouble to prepare all this.”
“What is the meaning of this? How do you even know about this sort of thing?”
“When we held each other the other day, I looked around the depths of your mind for something interesting, and found this.”
“You’re the worst!”
Why is she dragging weird things out of people’s minds!? It’s not like this is the sort of thing I think about regularly, so it must have stayed in a corner of my mind after I saw it on the internet or something!
“Arata… Held each other?”
“No, that’s…”
“Ah, don’t worry, Reina. It was just medical treatment. He can be in a bit of danger sometimes without realizing it. I wasn’t trying to take him or…”
“Are you all right!?”
Reina looks surprised, and immediately grabs my wrist. I can feel magic energy flowing.
Then she touches my throat, back, and stomach, most likely checking for any irregularities. But since her face is so close, my heart starts beating faster.
After a while, she reaches the conclusion that there’s nothing wrong and raises her head, bringing her lips close to mine.
A sigh escapes her lush red lips, and if I lean just a little closer…
“Hey hey, that’s a bit too fast.”
““…!?””
We remember we’re being watched, and pull away.
“Good grief, I’m still in the middle of explaining, and you two start fooling around the moment you see an opening.”
Strange. She looks a little exasperated, even though she would normally laugh in a situation like this.
Reina is facing down out of embarrassment, and I can see her ears are red.
“Well then, I used Arata’s knowledge to make this, so you already know, but I need to explain to Reina.”
“No, it’s fine. You don’t have to explain, just let us out of here.”
“First, a man and a woman can enter this room while holding hands. And to leave…”
I try to stop her because I know this is going nowhere good, but she doesn’t listen, and carries on explaining.
You need to fool around until I’m satisfied, is what she says with a grin before disappearing.
“I made it so Arata’s power can’t break it! If you want to leave, fool around to your heart’s content! By the way, the hero and the two girls were here before you and… Oops, I promised not to tell. Anyway, if they left, you know what happened! Hahaha!”
Her laugh echoes loudly, and her presence disappears completely.
I’m sure she’s peeking into this room, but there’s no point thinking about that.
I look around again, and see it’s not that big of a room.
There’s the bed we’re sitting on, and the shelf with suspicious drinks. Then there’s the bath and toilet next to the room, so there’s not a lot of space to move around.
So if we’re alone together…
“What does she mean by fool around…”
Reina is confused, and honestly, so am I. We can’t just flip a switch and do that.
“I guess we have to stay here until Wil gets tired.”
“Yes. I can’t stand the idea of doing what she wants!”
“Yes…”
That said, hearing her talk about that before she left made it so I can’t not think about it.
There’s silence, and time simply passes.
“Ah, I forgot to say something.”
As things get awkward, Wil appears in the window again.
