Walking in another world – Chapter 642 – Zuirya dungeon – Part eight

The opportunity comes past noon.

“Hikari, now.”

Just before they leave a T junction, Hikari blows the shamal horn.

The low sound sends a chill down my spine, and I feel magic energy reactions around.

And the number…

The next moment, monsters appear where the magic energy reactions are, and Hikari’s eyes shine.

I can’t imagine many other parties reacting like that.

“A-a group of orc generals!”

I hear a squeaky yell from the passage.

Yes, the shamal horn summoned a group of orc generals.

The reactions that appeared from the passage stop, and there are metallic sounds.

They probably can’t see us because of the wall.

The next moment, I hear a surprised ‘eh’, and three orc generals spray blood as they fall.

The blood dirties the wall, and I hear general cries.

Even after their friends go down, the orc generals attack us.

They yell to try to scare us and raise their weapons, but they’re slashed before they can swing them down.

One of their arms hits a wall, making a dull sound.

They go down one after the other, and I see the guys on the other side with surprised, twitchy faces.

Sera approaches the last general with an axe in each hand, and swings one vertically and one horizontally into a cross.

The general is cut in four pieces, and hits the ground before it can make its last sound.

◇ ◇ ◇

I retrieve the cut corpses, and the passage remains dirty with blood.

We wouldn’t normally do it in such a showy way, but we did it so the guys understood, and to cause a bigger impact.

Can we even sell these in the guild? Well, we can eat them ourselves.

“Master, they’re not moving.”

“They’re not. Oh well, we did what we set out to do. There’s really no point in talking to them.”

“Yes. Let’s go back.”

Says Argo while looking at them, and they avert their eyes.

I look at them through the corner of my eye, as Chris and I both cast Purification Magic and we head to the exit.

It’s only when we turn at the end of the passage and leave their sight that the guys move again.

They’re moving slowly in the same direction as us, and the distance is growing wider.

“We showed the difference in our strength, and that it’s dangerous to mess with us. Rick and the others told me what happened. They were pretty full of themselves, uh?”

Says Argo as I check up on them with Map.

“They won’t be coming close after seeing that. We really overdid it.”

Says Guilford about the way Rick and the others fought.

Rick let his strength guide his axe, and sent chunks of flesh flying when the blade hit one of their stomachs’.

He’s generally quiet, but also the kind of guy you don’t want to see angry.

That was definitely burned into their eyes too.

Then Rick apologizes to Hikari, but she doesn’t care. In fact, she enjoyed seeing those guys scared.

“We’re back, but what do we do about the boss?”

“…How about we go in? There are only two parties waiting.”

Argo waits for us to respond, and then registers.

It looks like this is the right choice, because as we wait, more and more people register and wait to fight the boss.

This is because the party that’s in there now has been there for over thirty minutes.

Actually, the one before that took about the same amount of time.

We understand why once we go in.

The fourth boss room is bigger than the third, about seventy meters on each side.

There’s an orc general in the back, with orc warriors, orc mages, and orc archers lined up.

But there are thirty of them!

The moment we leave the safe area, the orc general yells, and the others charge forward.

But they don’t reach us. Chris is done chanting, and when she swings her staff, a wave of flames engulfs them.

The monsters are roasted without even being given the chance to scream, and once the flames are gone, all that remains is a treasure chest.

“Was that spirit magic…”

“Yes. It’s hard to use, but powerful.”

It spends a lot of magic energy, and it takes time to activate. Chris used it immediately because she got to prepare in the safe area.

“So, what’s the treasure this time?”

“A horn.”

Hikari takes the shamal horn. Appraisal tells me it has four uses remaining.
