Yesterday, I noticed that the amount of times I can use magic has dramatically gone up. I feel like I’m losing less magic energy, and magic is activating more smoothly.
I know what this is. My magic energy is growing.
I think I’m a seeker with a knack for being a mage.
Maybe I should use magic more proactively.
I leave the police station, and head to the dungeon.
Hn? Why was I in a police station?
Isn’t it obvious? Because yesterday someone reported that I was riding the train covered in mucus, and the police were called.
This world is so unreasonable. I’m just trying to work.
I took a bath in the police station and borrowed a towel, and spent the night in a cell.
It was more comfortable than I thought. And the police let me go with a warning not to bother others.
How rude. I’ve never bothered a person before in my life.

I’m on the eighth floor today. This one has jumbo frogs and numbing moths.
Numbing moths attack by tackling, but the problem is that they spread scales in the process. These scales have a numbing effect, and paralyze people for a while if they inhale them. If another monster attacks you in the meantime, you’re dead.
What a troublesome monster.
I see a numbing moth and a jumbo frog.
I want to take out the jumbo frog first, but it’s hard to approach it with the numbing moth floating around.
Maybe I should preemptively attack with magic. But as I think that, the jumbo frog suddenly catches the numbing moth with its tongue and eats it.

Then it looks like the jumbo frog’s whole body gets numb, and it turns on its back.

I take out the jumbo frog and move on.
This floor might be easy.

For some reason, numbing moths appear with jumbo frogs.
And if I observe them for a bit, the jumbo frog eats the numbing moth and can’t move.
Sometimes jumbo frogs appear alone, but I can easily take them out with the iron club.
I keep going until I find the staircase to the ninth floor.
Sure enough, there’s over a hundred numbing moths flying around.
I turn around and go back the way I came from, get ten jumbo frogs that are feeling numb and can’t move, and throw them towards the numbing moths.
They get up after a few minutes, and eat numbing moths. Then they stop moving again. Then after a few minutes, they get up and eat numbing moths.
I watch this happen for two hours until all the numbing moths are gone.
I finish off the winners who can’t move, take the glass ball on the floor, and see it disappear.
This one was easy. On to the next one.
