“By the way, when is Loyd going to start dating Iris?”
Asks Lela all of a sudden, after the fairy dragon is brought down and everyone’s happily heading home.
The other adventurers agree with her, and people start pressing Iris and I about marriage.
“Seriously.”
“How long are you going to stay friends? Kiss already!”
“I want to see you get married!”
They say, and Iris and I turn red.
The idea of dating someone feels distant to me, so hearing about a relationship makes me embarrassed.
I can’t talk for Iris, but…
“Hey, you’re troubling Miss Iris. Is that any way to treat the current saintess?”
Isolte throws us a bone by glaring them down.
But once that fire’s been lit, it doesn’t get extinguished easily, so I start to imagine what our relationship is going to be like.
1 – Marry and have kids
2 – Nothing really changes, we stay friends, and I look after Iris
Both could happen.
Iris is attractive, but also a holy being, since she’s a saintess. It’s hard to picture her dating someone and doing indecent things.
That said, we really should think about how long we’re going to stay in this middle ground.
I’m an adult already, so I should get married and have a family.
There’s also Sephilia, who had a nice thing going with me before.
“I also feel a little vexed about Mister Loyd and Miss Iris’ relationship. At this point, I don’t care if it’s in a room in an inn, just press Miss Iris down and do lewd things.”
What’s she saying all of a sudden!?
The adventurers all agree with Sephilia, and Iris looks cute, flustered over what her best friend said.
“Hum Sephilia, Iris really does look troubled.”
“Please look after the lady.”
No good, she’s not listening. Neither Iris nor I know what to do.
The topic is steadily advancing in the direction of Iris and I getting physical, and we arrive at Minerva in the meantime.
Iris is about to go back to Isolte’s mansion, but Sephilia stops her.
And without a place to go, Iris comes to my place alone.
“What should we do?”
“Rest in the inn until it blows over.”
“Inn…”
She remembers what Sephilia said, and her face turns red, so I rush to add to what I said.
“In a room by yourself, of course. We’ll each have one room.”
“Y-yes…! I was thinking something improper because of what Sephilia said.”
“It’s natural considering what just happened. Anyway, let’s rest. A lot happened today. We climbed a mountain and fought the fairy dragon.”
Iris nods, so we head to the inn where I usually stay, and get a room for her.
Then we have dinner, and after I take a bath, I hear a knock on the door.
I open it, and see Iris.
Not only that, but she looks deathly pale.
“What’s wrong?”
“It’s in my room.”
“What is?”
“That squeaky thing!”
A mouse? Does she not like them?
“I was bitten by them a lot in the arms and legs when I was running away from Roland, and I haven’t liked them ever since.”
“If you have a trauma, there’s nothing you can do. Do you want to switch rooms?”
“No, I couldn’t! I couldn’t make you sleep in the same room as that thing…”
I’m not scared of mice, but Iris won’t accept that.
In the end, I invite the shaking Iris into my room.
“Sorry, I’m bothering you again.”
“You’re not a bother. I feel like I’ve gotten to know another cute side of you.”
Iris looks down, so I pat her head. Then she looks up and directly at me.
“You really are wonderful.”
“That’s sudden.”
“I just feel that way naturally when I look at your wonderful presence. Can I get a little closer?”
“…Sure.”
I sit on the bed, and Iris sits next to me.
We say nothing, and just look at each other for a bit.
“I feel like it’s turning into what they were saying.”
“…Yes, but it feels strangely comfortable. Do you think so too, Mister Loyd?”
“I think I feel the same as you. Being with you makes me feel at peace.”
“Great. I’m not the only one feeling this intense throbbing in my chest. I feel like my heart is going to jump out of my chest when I look at you.”
“Iris, I think that’s a heart problem.”
“Don’t drag us back to reality.”
“Sorry for being so clumsy.”
“Geez… That throbbing is gone now.”
Iris is a little exasperated, and lies down facing up.
She then extends her arms towards me with a gentle smile on her face.
“Iris?”
“Share some of that heart throbbing with me again.”
She’s really inviting me. I feel like she’s been doing it ever since she came in.
Come to think of it, her room is next to mine, but I didn’t hear her screaming about mice or anything.
Did she really see a mouse there? Am I dancing on the palm of her hand?
I don’t know if that thing with the mouse is true, but what I know is that she’s looking very alluring right now.
Her saintess outfit has a lot of exposed skin, and it really stimulates passion.
She’s too lewd right now, and I can’t hold back anymore, so I do it.
I don’t regret it either.
As a result, because we slept together, our relationship advances smoothly into marriage.
