“The two who met after crossing borders teamed up to defeat a powerful enemy, acknowledged each other’s true power by fighting together, and finally called each other partner… Just the best! Now this is the greatest development!
The best story, that really gets one’s blood pumping! My hero! You really do meet my expectations every time!”
“Getting worked up on your own~. Well, Drop does understand~.”
Meanwhile, Lost yelled in celebration in a dark space somewhere, and Drop whispered with a cold look in her eyes.
Lost seemed to not mind it at all, and spoke with such emotion that it was clear there was a smile under that hood.
“The emotions I’m feeling aren’t so easily understood, Drop! But this violent throbbing in my chest and boiling blood are no doubt because of those two, because of my hero! You understand that much, right!? My oshi shined the brightest on the stage I set up! If I wasn’t moved by this, what could ever move me!?”
“Shut up… Drop knows how heated you are for that Yuugo guy, but it gets creepy when it goes this far. Drop’s not going to stop you, because what you want to do matches Drop’s intentions, but you should know that this is why the others want nothing to do with you.”
“And I thank the kind Drop for hanging out with me just the same. And they don’t get it. If they understood just how big of a being my hero is, they would do the same!!”
Drop listened to Lost with a dismissive expression.
It was a little troublesome that someone she talked to a while back designated her a friend, but teaming up with Lost was not boring, so Drop was thankful for that at least.
And as she hinted at before, Lost was definitely not prioritizing their desires alone. Lost simply worked to establish the developments they liked, while following the bigger flow.
As long as Lost did this, there was no reason to complain. In fact, knowing what Lost was up to made it easier for Drop to operate as well.
And as she thought this, she asked Lost questions about the end of the test that occurred in front of the exchange students.
“So what are you going to do now? Create another stage for you dear hero to show off?”
“No, I don’t intend to do much from this point on. The story will progress without me. And I’m sure the enemies that will appear will meet the other masterminds… They are level two like us, right? I’m sure we will get to see something interesting. For you, and for me too…!”
Lost smiled, but it was a different one than the usual excited smile.
Drop understood Lost was on a similar course as her, and sighed before responding.
“Oh… Then we’ll be spectators for now…! Well, Drop here is done preparing in a Drop way~! If those hero prospects (lol) are unhappy, then it’s fine~! Ah~ha, won’t the next event start soon~!? Can’t wait!”
“Fufufu…! I’m looking forward to the one after that. What will my hero show us as he gets involved with the five exchange students? How will you overcome being swallowed by a tempest called fate? Will you get fully swallowed and fall… I really can’t wait.”
The evil in this world was not the reincarnated students, or the masterminds.
The evil that existed in this world from the start was the real star of this story, something that would become a wall for anyone.
Their role was to give power to this evil and grow it. And bring unhappiness to many people.
Preparations were done. First, bring pain to the hero prospects drowning in their desires.
The masterminds did not go out in the open, their aesthetic was about controlling villains.
In this darkness where only they existed, these two masterminds continued laughing, as their expectations for the wonderful upcoming events swelled.
