The spoils from this dungeon exploration I started early this morning are about ninety ether crystals and twenty kobold magic stones. I leave around noon, and while I could have packed in more things if I spent more time here, I don’t need to force myself.
Lucky is carrying everything, so I’m walking empty-handed. And since the searcher drone is working perfectly, there is no danger of sneak attacks. My seeker life is going well.
Also, since Lucky eats mana crystals, I only sell eighty, and take the rest with me. That means I earn one hundred thirty thousand. Apparently there are a lot of ether crystals accumulated on the ceiling a little further back, so I can make even more. Considering this is what I get from about five hours of work, my seeker life is going wonderfully.
My level is now ten, meaning I level up even when it’s Lucky who defeats monsters.
Since my stats are all at the bottom, being level ten doesn’t make me all that different from a regular person, but I have one more Storage space, and a new feature. I can analyze things I put in my Storage spaces. Of course, size is a limiting factor, so it’s a tricky feature, but I feel like I can make money more effectively if I can use it well.
“Do you like it?”
“Kyuru, kyururu!”
Lucky is in its small form inside the car, crunching the tip of an ether crystal and licking the ether inside it.
According to the summon beast raising manual I got from the Seeker Association, summon beasts can operate with only magic energy provided by their masters. But if I can provide it from an external source, that’s less magic energy I have to spend. Also, magic beasts like the taste of ether, and summon beasts are no different. And if I think of it as a reward after Lucky worked so hard, there is no reason not to give it.
And as I think Lucky is adorable like that, we head to my apartment where the owner glares at me… Or not. I will actually go to a seeker hotel called Kawakoshi Maze Hotel.
This hotel costs over two hundred thousand a month, and that includes meals and various facilities. There are also long term plans available.
It seems very reasonable considering the income of successful seekers, but only seekers and those related to them can use this plan.
The price is also related to the fact that it’s close to the A rank dungeon called Kawakoshi Gate, so the cost includes being their guard if something goes wrong.
Normally seekers have to be level twenty to stay here, but I received special permission from the Seeker Association.
The reason is Lucky. Apparently they aren’t too confident in the security of a regular apartment, and considering that Lucky was estimated to be level fifty when I met it and I still defeated it, I’m sure they decided I’m strong enough to stay here.
My old apartment doesn’t allow pets, so this really helps. Thank you Miss Sawaki.
And so, an hour after I left Yoshikawa Gate, I arrive at the Kawakoshi Maze Hotel.
I heard this used to be a high class hotel, that was rebuilt after being damaged by the dungeon, but it’s even nicer than I thought.
I feel like a lower middle class man such as myself won’t fit in, but when in Rome, do as Romans do. As a seeker aiming for the top, I am going to have to get used to this.
I park the car in the parking lot, and head to the entrance, but…
“Ahh.”
Lucky looks really excited. Is the emotion flowing into me fighting spirit? Is it sensing the high level seekers in the hotel?

Zenjurou will step into a place where he is not welcome.
Are they incidental pranks, or malice?
And what about the invitation to a new world made by the mysterious woman he will meet?
Thanks.
