Around the time when Shian’s party was being wiped out by monster armor beast siblings, Yuugo and the others were also in an intense fight with the monsters that suddenly appeared.
There were giant bugs at first, but while they were surprised about them taking a humanoid shape that resembled goblins, what they had to do did not change.
Thankfully, the evolved monsters were not that strong, and Yuugo finished off the last one with an exceptional combo with Marcos. He looked around to confirm the area was safe, and spoke to his friends and the elementary students nearby.
“It looks like we cleaned up this area. But I dunno what’s going on.”
“I can’t use the communications device. They said Shian and the others were fighting two monster armor beasts, but then I lost contact.”
“Shian… I hope they win, but…”
Yuugo had hope that they would beat the ones behind this, but thinking back to Rush’s incident, defeating the monster armor beast that spawned the monsters would not make them go away.
He figured this mess would not end so easily, and Melt spoke anxiously.
“Weren’t Yui and Phi in Shian’s group? Does that mean monster armor beasts are near them right now…!?”
“It’s worrying, even if Mister Castle was guiding them. I hope everyone’s okay…”
Yuugo was also worried.
Shian and the others were fighting the ones who were thought to have started this, near his little brother and Yui.
Things were already worrying, but that worry was fanned even more by the way the monsters suddenly transformed during battle.
And Ryuuga’s pained expression showed he was thinking something similar.
They wanted to go help their siblings right away, but they had to take the elementary school student group they were guarding to safety. But as Yuugo felt stuck in a dilemma, Marcos spoke.
“Hmph…! What are you doing just standing there? If you’re that worried, go look for them.”
“But Marcos…!”
“But what? We need to take that group to safety? Are you worried something will happen to us? Don’t look down on me, Yuugo. You’re the ones who are just going to get in the way, because you’re worried about your siblings and can’t focus. We will take over guarding the kids, so you two go look for them.”
Marcos snorted as he spoke to Yuugo and Ryuuga, and Melt and An nodded with smiles.
He sounded cold, but Yuugo knew he was looking out for them, and thanked him with a big nod.
“Thanks Marcos. I’m leaving this to you all.”
“Yes, do that. Go protect the people important to you.”
“Here Yuugo. I don’t know if it’ll help, but it’s better than nothing.”
Said Angel while taking the communications device from the usual position in her cleavage and handing it to Yuugo.
He thanked them again, and ran out with Ryuuga.
“…You really have good friends.”
“Well. They along with Phi are some of my few prides.”
Yuugo thanked his friends who were as reliable as ever during this crisis, and the two of them ran through the building.
They stopped when the path split, and looked at each other.
“We don’t know where they are. I think we should split up.”
“I agree. Yuugo, that communications device An gave you… No, lend me the one you already had.”
Yuugo smiled awkwardly, and tossed Ryuuga the communications device he had, not the one Angel had in her cleavage.
They then stood facing their respective paths, and spoke with trust.
“We have to look for those two, but don’t forget to save people being attacked.”
“Got it. I don’t know if it will work, but try to contact me if something happens. Be careful, Yuugo.”
“You too, partner.”
After shaking hands, they ran through their paths, jumping into a tumultuous whirlpool of people asking for help and having to look for their siblings.
