I’ve never seen the Shield Techniques skill before, or even a monster equipped with a shield for that matter… Shields aren’t just a way to block attacks, they can also be used as weapons. If I’m just looking at its offensive power, Dual Wielding isn’t outdone by it, but it can block a wide variety of attacks, and it can put its weight into attacks to push me and thrust me away.
I want Enki to have this skill.

These are skills that use my current stats as reference to multiply them. But they’re not like Command, which multiplies the base values. These increase the threshold of my output, multiplying how much I can really do. Because of this, even if I check the monster after it used these skills to boost itself, I won’t see a difference in the stats.
I’ve been learning how to use my power while experiencing these external stat effects. And I’ll use this to become stronger!

Sure enough, even with a combination of skills of that level, my Physical Strength and Constitution are higher, so I’m better. Conversely, it feels like a tertiary skill like Swift has a big effect, so it has the upper hand.
Also, Physical Strength and Agility depend on the individual’s mind and level of polish, but not Constitution. My defense references my max Constitution, and that’s it.
I have more attack and defense. And I have Impact and Armor Piercing, to complement it. If I can hit it, the scales should tip in my favor. The issue is the difference in our speed…

But the stage is being set in my favor the more time passes. After all, I can read its moves and speed to a certain extent with Foresight II.
I naturally start anticipating its moves, and manage to stab it in its pivot leg.

The Magic Missile worked so poorly, that I can’t hide my shock.
I guess the output of my magic references both my Constitution and Intelligence, and it was really affected by how much I’ve been weakened. That Magic Missile was nothing like the ones I normally use. I’m so surprised by how slow it was.
Maybe that’s why the monster saw it coming, but it was really pathetic.
But the battle is still going well for me.
Its moves are getting less and less crisp, and the skills it used to boost itself are going away one by one. Since the adamantine series lasts for a ridiculously long time, I have the advantage in a battle with skills!
