I suddenly have a lot of clothes.
“Hn, this feels nice.”
I get back to my hotel room with the clothes, and hold a one man fashion show.
Suffice to say, I’m not sharing a room with Reve. Kanna is guarding her.
I feel a bit lonely, but I enjoy my time alone.
“Yes. I think that’s enough for the fashion show.”
I stop after about three minutes and sit down.
“Ahh.”
I open the grimoire I got from the ridiculously large library here in the capital.
It really is a great power. They’re so unconcerned about opening a collection of books like that to the public.
It’s appealing to the point where I feel like living here for a while.
“…Intel magic.”
I couldn’t find anything I could use to gather intel, because that sort of thing is a military secret. But I did find plenty of magic I could use.
And now I’m busy making use of that to rework it.
“Done.”
The first piece of intel magic. A third eye that works even when I’m away.
“…Muh, this won’t work.
Magic to turn invisible. This one’s a failure… Hm, I should’ve cast Appraisal on that monster that attacked us along the way. I might have learned something about its invisibility.
“Hm…”
I feel stumped about invisibility magic, and look at the winged eyeball floating around me.
I can look around without moving using this.
If I can make it so it can fire magic, it’ll be the best. It will be able to take down monsters and raise my level… It’s connected to me.
Activating magic on the palm of my hand and this thing connected to my soul shouldn’t be that different. In theory.
I think this magic will have a lot of uses. Not bad for my first piece of intel magic.
“I can’t make myself invisible, but I’ll have to make this eye invisible, or it won’t work.”
It stands out too much. It needs to be invisible, or people will think it’s a new type of monster.
“…Ahh.”
Turning people invisible seems too hard, so I’m giving up on that. But making magic invisible… No, let’s start with making something small invisible.
Also, this is something I came up with… As far as I know anyway. Let’s not aim for the goal right away and just work on it slowly.
“Maybe I’ll go have dinner.”
Let’s do that a little later. It feels like once I hit a wall, nothing goes right.
“…”
I leave the room and head to the snack room on the first floor.
“Ah, Kanna.”
I happen upon Kanna along the way, but she’s not with Reve.
“…Are you alone?”
“Yes. Princess Reve wanted to be alone for a bit. Leave her to me, if danger so much as approaches her, I can be there in one second. I will protect her, that much I swear.”
“…Okay.”
I nod.
I’m sure Kanna can handle it, but…
“So? What are you up to? Weren’t you studying magic in your room?”
“I’m just taking a walk. I was in that room all this time, so…”
“I see. Nothing happens without some exercise… So? How about a mock battle? A light one like always.”
“No, I’m good.”
“…I see.”
“I should go back to my research.”
I was going to have a snack, but changed my mind.
“Ah, we are going to the castle tonight. Make sure you’re ready.”
“I know.”
I make my way to Reve’s room.
