Egos looked for Ryuuga’s diary, a collectible in Luminous History.
In the game, it was an item that could be acquired upon meeting specific conditions, and it detailed the reason why Ryuuga came to Luminous academy.
What he once told Yuugo, that he wanted achievements to get himself a nice job to support his family, was not a lie. However… There was something else, something he had to do in this country.
If he could reveal Ryuuga’s goal, that would become a great scandal.
Egos could blackmail Ryuuga with this information and regain his position as a hero prospect.
Normally, Ryuuga’s goal would be revealed eventually as the story progressed, but Egos could not afford to care about the proper order of things.
Even if it affected the story going forward, no matter what bugs it caused, he had to escape this predicament.
Once the desperate Egos heard Yuugo and the others were out, he decided to find definitive proof in their absence, but… Unfortunately, there was no trace of the diary in the bag or desk.

He remembered how he forgot to lock the door after using a skill to get inside, making it beat even faster.
He pressed his mouth to contain his breathing, and prayed that Raiha would leave.
If she was there for Ryuuga, she should leave if he was not there.
It seemed his prayers reached the heavens, as Raiha thought exactly what he wanted after not receiving a response from within the room.
“…Is he gone… Maybe he went to get Yui…”
Egos heard Raiha speak to herself, and became just a little calmer.
He overcame that trouble, he thought with relief… But god betrayed his expectations.
Bam!!
“…!?”
“Eh…? What was that noise…?”
Egos made a mess of the room as he searched for the diary, and a book he carelessly threw before fell, making a loud sound.
His face grew pale and he reached the limit of his panic, as Raiha also heard the sound.
“Is it open? Why…?”
“A-a-ah…!?”
The doorknob turned, the door slowly opened, Raiha entered, and the lights turned on.
For Egos, who was in the room, each sound was akin to a footstep of a god of death.
“Eh…!? W-what is this…? What…!?”
Raiha was surprised to see the mess in the room.
Egos hid immediately, and hoped she would leave to go call someone… But Raiha stepped forward to try to understand what happened.
Naturally, this would expose even Egos’ makeshift deception.
