The maid called this man knight captain.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you. My name is Rohast, and I am the captain of the knights of this country.”
He introduces himself with graceful gestures.
“How kind of you. My name is Noa. I am here as an attendant of Princess Reve of the Kingdom of Minowa.”
I learn from him, and introduce myself with a little bit awkward etiquette.
Yes, I think I can just barely pass.
“Kingdom of Minowa… There is someone as strong as you there?”
I just look like a young shota, but Captain Rohast says with confidence that I’m strong.
I guess I should expect that from the captain of the knights of a major power. He has a good eye.
“You can think of me as a mutation. I was saved from the brink of death by the princess, and swore loyalty to her. This happened very recently, so it makes sense that you do not know.”
“I see. But someone as strong as you was on the brink of death? That is a little surprising.”
“Fufufu… As you can see, I’m still young. A lot happens. There are drawbacks to my personal life.”
“I think I should not pry.”
“Yes. I would agree.
I nod, and taste a bit of the wine.
“…Yes.”
“So? Quite good, isn’t it?”
“I’m not the best person to make that judgment.”
Sorry, I don’t really know the difference between expensive and cheap.
“That makes sense. It is too early for you.”
“Apparently. It’s a little disappointing.”
I nod, and swirl the wine.
I was expecting a more dramatic difference.
“Fufufu, you would be better off with meat. That is my recommendation.”
“…Hn?”
While thinking about other things, I react to something and move my eyes.
“Why…”
Captain Rohast is already on the move.
I let go of the wine glass and kick the floor. There’s nothing in that direction, just a wall.
“…They’re coming.”
And once I’m pretty close to the wall, there’s a loud sound that shakes the venue and the wall in front of me. It’s accompanied by a bright red light
“…That?”
It’s a big crimson fireball. It destroys the wall, but doesn’t slow down as it advances to blow away the people present.
“Too late.”
I raise a hand to deal with it, but suffice to say, my small hand won’t block it.
“Partial dragonfication.”
Then I just have to make it bigger.
The fire is completely caught by the prized scales of my dragon hand.
“…Wha!?”
“Too bad, I saw through it.”
A masked guy storming the party with the fireball is surprised to see it nullified in an instant, and I close the distance between us.
“You!?”
“You’re not going to stop a dragon with that.”
I grab his head with my dragon hand.
He tries to resist and raises his arm, but he’s powerless before a dragon.
“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!?”
I press his face against the floor and run.
I keep doing it until he’s unconscious. Thankfully, that doesn’t take long.
“Ahh.”
That takes care of him.
“Guardian Barrier.”
But it’s not over.
Like the fireball, more magic threatens to destroy the venue. And it’s not just one, I’m activating the Guardian Barrier before a lot of magic.
The large barrier shuts out magic that keeps trying to hit the party.
“No good, you’re not getting through.”
I declare to the small band of ten or so I can see through the destroyed wall.
