Meanwhile, Yuugo visited Phi in the hospital and cried to him.
Black Veil’s incident, Egos’ expulsion, and more importantly, the girls around him exhausted Yuugo. Phi pat his head as he responded.
“That sounds rough, but I’m happy. More people are learning how great you are.”
“But it’s a problem. I’m still in school. I don’t want to hear about marriage and descendants…”
Phi agreed with an awkward smile, and he spoke while facing down a little.
“It’s nice that you’re getting along with the people from Yamato, but I wouldn’t want you getting married… You’d move far away and we wouldn’t see each other…”
Whispered Phi, imagining a future where he would be away from his big brother.
Before Yuugo could respond, Yui, who went there with him, spoke.
“Then you could just come to Yamato too! Then you could be with your brother!”
“Eh? Eeh…!?”
Phi was thrown back by what she said with a cheerful voice.
And the happy Yui continued attacking like the push of a raging sea.
“That’s good! You could be with your brother, and we would be at peace if Yuugo had my big brother as his aide when he took over the Kogarashi or Amamiya house!”
“I-I would have nothing to do in Yamato…”
“Oh? But there’s a lot of technology and books you don’t know in Yamato. Don’t you think it would be interesting to research and develop it as a foreigner?”
“Y-yes…”
Yui’s pushiness overwhelmed the timid Phi.
Yuugo thought it was cute, and felt emotional thinking spring had come for his little brother.
Yui seemed to like Phi a lot ever since the incident in the insectary.
He refused to falter when cornered, and did his best to protect her. There was no way she would not be moved.
Perhaps because of her tomboyish disposition, Yui was pretty forward when she liked someone.

Phi pouted with his cheeks puffed, and this time, it was Yuugo who roughly pat his head.
Phi looked displeased, but made no attempt to brush him away. And as Yui looked on with her closed eyes… The door opened, and a new visitor came in.
“Excuse me. Is Yuugo here?”
“Ah…? Utsusemi?”
It was Raiha, who was dragged into an incident not long before.
She bowed the moment their eyes met, and after bowing back, Yuugo spoke.
“What is it? What brought you all the way to the hospital…”
“…I need to talk about something. Do you have some time?”
Just days before, Raiha found Egos acting like a cat burglar in Yuugo and Ryuuga’s room, and was attacked by him. And she went out of her way to leave the academy in search of Yuugo.
Ryuuga was being questioned from multiple sides about the incident, so what could be more important to her…? Thought Yuugo, and Raiha responded straight to his question.
But it seemed she did not want to talk there, and would rather speak in private.
“…Sorry Phi and Yui. I need to talk to Utsusemi.”
“Ah, yes.”
“I understand.”
Both said with bright smiles, and Yuugo got up.
He followed Raiha, until she stopped at an empty hallway.
“I’m sorry, I got in the way of you enjoying your time with your brother…”
“It’s okay. So what is it?”
“…It’s about Ryuuga. I really should talk to him directly, but I keep missing the chance…”
Raiha looked down with a serious expression.
Yuugo listened closely to what was about his roommate and partner, and Raiha continued.
“…I know this is sudden, but since Setsuna, Sakura, and Ryuuga accepted you, I thought I should speak to you.”
Raiha continued looking down as she explained why she was speaking to him.
She clenched her fists tight, making Yuugo believe this was serious, but when she raised her head to talk…
“Kyah!?”
A man suddenly ran past, pushing Raiha out of the way.
He did not crash into her directly, but it being unexpected meant Raiha lost her balance and fell.
“Utsusemi!? H-hey you!!”
Running fast through a hospital was bad enough, but the man did not even apologize, thought Yuugo as he called out to him. But the man continued running without so much as looking back.
What a terrible guy… He thought as he helped Raiha to her feet, but the next abnormality befell him… Or rather, the whole hospital.
