I can’t have them hanging around, and the stampede won’t end unless I do something about them…

“Everyone, it looks like the water is clear. Gather!”

Everyone hears me and does that. I congratulate everyone in turn, but Iris isn’t moving. It’s just floating, drifting along with the sea… Is it resting after a big meal?

I keep putting out clear footing with Air Walk and running on it. Since it was emphasized in the last training, I can put this stuff out a lot more naturally than when I first learned Spatial Magic.

When the monsters are about fifty meters away, I can finally use True Appraisal, and the enemies move. The giant squids fire a lot of squid ink from their mouths, painting the sea black. The water gradually loses its shine, turning into a dark space.

I stop to look around, but it’s spreading everywhere, eventually reaching me. This is the squid ink attack… It’d be bad if I was hit with it directly, but spreading it in the water puts their enemy at an overwhelming disadvantage in the water. It’s as Aira said, if you fall, you won’t know what’s up or down anymore.

Also, it seems this is already within their territory. Many tentacles are coming from the front, and from the stained water.

Aira starts taking out makeshift footing… Floating dock modules from her bag, and throwing them in the water.

She then uses them and the enemy’s tentacles to fight at high speed without falling into the water.

The other enemy is being held back as Enril circles around attacking with wind and lightning, and Iris fires beams of Aurora Magic. Its tentacles are getting cut or burned.

Those are long range attacks, but since they’re close, no bad skills like tsunami are being used. But Enril has to take crazy flight paths to avoid the barrage of bullets, as squid ink is fired at it.

It seems like they’re having a tough time, so I need to make this quick.
