Gabejin had a black body with many spines, looking like nothing but an urchin.
Ryuuga responded quietly at what looked far from a mad dog, and an amused Gabejin spoke.
“Kukuku…! I’m not called that for my appearance… And I only got this power recently…!!”
Gabejin walked slowly as himself and Ryuuga glared at each other.
With some distance between them, Gabejin opened his eyes wide, brought his arms up to them, and yelled.
“Take this! Needle Blast!!”
Gabejin yelled as black spines were fired from his fingers one after the other.
Ryuuga brushed away the black needle bullets fired at him with his Loong King Sword, but Gabejin kept attacking.
“Hora hora hora! How’s that…!? How long can you defend…!!?”
“Ooh! Good, Gabejin!! Turn him into a hedgehog!!”
It seemed Gabejin would not run out of bullets.
The spines that were about as big as a person’s finger were fired like a gatling gun.
Gimoul saw Ryuuga completely on the defensive, and clenched his fists with excitement at the sight of him having trouble for the first time.
No wonder his boss saw something in him, thought Gimoul as he once again saw the power of a human transformed into a monster armor beast, and Gabejin yelled.
“I’m called a mad dog! I tear apart the bodies of those I kill! Men, women, brats, and old people, they all end up looking like a dog went at them! You and the people in the hospital will end up the same!!”
Gabejin stated why he was called a mad dog, as he fired the spines even faster.
People watching held their mouths as they saw Ryuuga being cornered, closed their eyes as though they were unable to watch, and reacted with despair.
“I’ll open some holes in you! Mince you! Then I’ll tear you apart! I can’t wait to see what your corpse will look… Nuguh!?”
Gabejin yelled as he attacked, but stopped when he felt something hit his face.
He stumbled back a few steps, and saw the spines he was firing near him.
“Damn you! You fired them back…!?”
Gabejin looked surprised at how Ryuuga cut away the spines being fired at him, and took advantage of a small opening to fire them back as though reflecting them.
But he soon recovered and laughed scornfully at Ryuuga.
“Too bad! My defense is tougher than any! You did your best to deflect spines to me, but that’s not gonna be fatal…!!”
“…”
“And you’re an idiot! You should’ve closed the distance when I stopped attacking! That was your only chance, and you ruined it! You kids really are no good…! You don’t know how to fight!”
The black urchin shell was as tough as it looked.
Gabejin proudly stated that deflecting his spines back at him would not be an effective way to deal damage, and laughed at Ryuuga for not taking the opportunity to attack, but Ryuuga responded plainly to the provocation.
“…You’re the one who doesn’t understand anything. More like mongrel.”
“Ahh? What did you…!?”
Gabejin was angry at the provocation.
He held his arms up again, and yelled while firing his spines at Ryuuga, who stared at him.
“I’m gonna kill you! Skewer you and make the biggest mess yet out of you!!”
This time, he would not stop. No matter what, he would keep firing the spines until his opponent stopped breathing.
With that in mind, Gabejin began his attack, but Ryuuga exhaled, swung his sword, and all the spines were blown away by the pressure.
“Wha!?”
Gabejin was surprised to see his attack so easily blocked, and the impact made him stop.
Ryuuga approached him from the front, and used his friends as examples to point out his opponent’s immaturity.
“I have a friend who uses a technique similar to yours. Your attack is child’s play compared to that.”
“Nuh, wha…!?”
Gabejin began his attack again as Ryuuga approached, but all was flung away with a swing of the sword.
An attack that was nothing but spines with the same shape being fired directly was nothing compared to Melt’s move… Said Ryuuga as he closed the distance, and continued as he glared close to Gabejin.
“You said nothing’s tougher than your defense… But that’s nothing compared to my friend. You really should know where you stand.”
Gabejin boasted that he excelled at defense just because he was covered in a tough shell, which was laughable to Ryuuga.
He knew Marcos, who had the technique to protect himself and others, so Gabejin’s words seemed naive and an insult to his friend’s high level.
“Nu, nuuh! Nuaaaaaaaaah!!”
Gabejin yelled, as who he saw as a kid who did not know how to fight taught him a lesson.
His pride was hurt as he saw the difference in their power, and his anger burned as he swung his fist covered in spines like a morning star, but…?
“Gah…!?”
Suddenly, Ryuuga was gone.
He drew a sword of light and slashed him faster than he could see, and as he turned towards him, he felt a sharp pain and a cut.
“…Take off that ugly armor. Only my partner can wear a black armor in front of me.”
“Can’t be…!? Guaaaah!!”
Golden light began to leak from the cut in the tough armor.
The next moment there was lightning, then an explosion, and after the smoke that engulfed Gabejin cleared, there was a person… The spine that granted him the power of a monster armor beast bounced off the ground a few times, until it shattered.
“Ga-Ga-Ga-Gabejin!? N-no way!? It can’t…!?”
“Ninety-nine… One left.”
