“And so, I will be staying in this room for a while. It’s a pleasure to meet you, I’m Mizari Pym.”
“A-ah… Nice to meet you…”
A few hours later, Neries faced the person who said that right after coming to her room, and was a little taken aback as she greeted her.
She heard about it from Yuugo, but did not really understand his choice… Still, she let Mizari in, and thought to herself while watching her unpack.
(It’s not our first time meeting, but… It’s a little awkward…)
Neries and Mizari had spoken before, but they could not call each other friends.
Shian talked to Mizari before, and she was even a temporary member of the party… Until he suddenly stopped calling her.
Neries was the same, but Mizari did not have the kind of personality to proactively get involved with others. They mostly trained when they were together, and they pretty much just knew each other’s faces and names.
Neries wondered what Yuugo was thinking by making Mizari her roommate, when suddenly Mizari turned to her and spoke.
“Neries, it won’t be for a long time, but since we are going to be roommates, we should set some rules. I don’t really have any, but are there any rules you want me to adhere to?”
“Eh? No… Not really…”
“I see. Then let’s talk if something happens and decide as we go.”
Said Mizari before going back to unpacking.
Neries was a little surprised when she suddenly spoke, but felt her calm way of speaking was approachable.
(Oh…? Was she being considerate?)
She did not really know what Mizari was thinking, but felt that way looking back.
Despite not understanding her very well, Yuugo introduced her, so she felt she could not be a bad person. And so, she tried to speak to her.
“H-hum!”
“Yes? What is it?”
“H-hum…”
She decided to talk, but once it was time, did not know about what.
Her eyes wandered as Neries tried to make her brain work, and she said the first thing that came to mind.
“M-Mizari, don’t you have a problem? Becoming my roommate all of a sudden…”
(Why such a negative topic!?)
Even she thought it was too negative. Surely Mizari would be troubled.
More importantly, if Mizari said ‘yes, I really hate it’ with that expressionless face, her heart would break completely.
It was a terrible topic for a first conversation, and as Neries complained at herself, Mizari responded.
“No, not really. I’m just glad to help Master Yuugo.”
“Master Yuugo…?”
Neries repeated that distinctive way of referring to him.
Mizari nodded, and continued.
“Yes, master. He has taught me a lot. It was his idea to change my fighting style.”
“I see…”
“He really… helped me a lot. He didn’t know me, but gladly accepted my request and gave me a lot of advice… I’m what I am now thanks to him.
As Mizari spoke, there was a lot of gratitude to her expression.
Neries was surprised that the expressionless Mizari could make such a face, and as Mizari raised her head, she smiled, and said something that made Neries gulp.
“I might not be fit to say this, and you might think it’s a cheap attempt at sympathy, but… I understand how you feel. You’re just like me when I met Master Yuugo.”
