American reincarnation★Love alliance – Chapter 31 – One day, towards a summer sea

★●▲

“That was fast…”

“It’s been three months since that battle.”

Said Ameriko and Himeno as their carriage shook.

“I didn’t think we’d be able to travel like this again.”

Said Chai with a smile as he turned back.

The beautiful elven boy grabbing the reins was happy about being able to travel with the two girls, just like they promised.

Himeno was very insistent about wanting to thank Chai for saving her life… Not necessarily in an innocent way. Contrasted to Himeno’s lust, Chai never seemed at all interested.

Himeno wondered if this was just a characteristic of elves like him, but the number of times she saw him peeking at Ameriko’s chest told a different story.

“The process of rebuilding has begun, so we can rest easy.”

“There does not seem to be anything for us to do at the moment.”

The world stood on the brink of destruction under the rule of the sorcerer and his subordinates, but three months passed since the storm of calamity and disaster ended.

Their goal was to cause destruction and death, and use the souls of the dead to perform a ritual that would bring monsters from another dimension into this world.

It was something very selfish and aberrant.

The mysteries surrounding it had not been solved yet, but a red shooting star fell one day. Merchants who just happened to be passing near this location also confirmed it.

In any case, a lot of precious lives were lost, but thanks to Ameriko, Himeno, and the alliance of freedom, the aspirations of the evil sorcerer were stopped.

The wounds left on this world were deep, and losses were incalculable. Towns and villages were gone, and many suffered devastating damage. The ones who survived were also left with deep emotional wounds.

Still, people rose up again. They mourned and said goodbye to the departed during many days of prayer.

But still, as the days continued to pass, the people’s expressions became lighter, and their smiles returned. The world slowly began to recover and move forward.

During the first month in particular, the governments of the holy city and many other towns and cities were very busy.

“The holy city is still having trouble recovering. It lost its royalty and even the castle.”

“They’re moving from a monarchy to a parliamentary democracy with representatives from various governments right? That’s pretty good!”

Ameriko was as optimistic as always. Her beautiful and youthful way of speaking carried a lot of charisma. It was no wonder she was nominated to be their next leader.

“Are you sure you did the right thing by saying no to being the first parliamentary leader?”

“Yes, it’s fine. I’m not cut out for politics.”

Ameriko said with a smile. Her memories as the president of the United States were completely gone. She was simply a girl who saved this world.

Memories from the old world slowly disappeared with the loss of the pendants.

The space-time crystals were akashic records of the old world. Memories of countless people and history packed into crystals with immense energy.

It was the energy from these people that pushed back the extra-dimensional beings. The manifestation of their explosive feelings.

Ameriko and Himeno were gradually losing the memories of their countries,

But still, sometimes they saw them while they dreamed. The new star high in the sky. A new world where their old countries were reforming.

They somehow knew that these dreams represented reality.

“You are very good at giving speeches Ameriko. I can see you being a prime minister or something along those lines.”

“You’re very attached to social status Himeno.”

Said Ameriko with a hint of sarcasm.

“T-that is not… But if you manage to get into a position of power, you can do what you want, right? You do not have to worry about money, and we could have beautiful boys serving us great banquets…”

Said Himeno with real regret in her voice.

“…We need to make sure you never get any power whatsoever.”

Said Ameriko while staring at Himeno.

“Really? I think what I said is quite reasonable.”

“It’s not! You’d incite a revolt in no time!”

“My brothers even told me she invited them to be her personal maids.”

“Chai no! I have only eyes for you.”

“Do you really…”

Distorted love and attachment to power. It was a good idea to take Himeno on a trip and keep her away from politics and power.

“Well! In any case, we fulfilled our promise of traveling together.”

“Yes.”

Himeno nodded as she sat back and quietly closed her eyes.

The carriage continued shaking as it advanced.

The open deck type passenger car felt freeing, and while there was a roof to block sunlight, the wind felt nice.

It reminded Ameriko’s of the western expansion of her old country. Something she recalled from her fading memories.

There was always the threat of bandits and monsters, but Ameriko’s gun and Himeno’s sword meant there was little reason to worry.

However, Ameriko could no longer summon complicated weapons such as missiles and railguns. This knowledge was lost with the old world encapsulated in her pendant.

Still, she could continue using her favorite pistols and rifles.

Behind them they could see Ethnocentria in the distance.

In front and to the left was the Carvalhyde mountain range, and directly in front of them but still quite far was a dark forest, but they would continue advancing through a grassy plain for a while.

“…Did we shake off our pursuers?”

Said Ameriko while looking back and getting close to Himeno’s face, with her blonde hair fluttering in the wind.

“I hope so. I was getting a bad feeling.”

“Those nobles in the parliament wouldn’t stop bugging us to have us be in power.”

“We passed on being the people’s idols or something along those lines, but being pampered all the time did not sound so bad to be honest.”

“Geez Himeno, stop looking back.”

After Ameriko and Himeno defeated the sorcerers, there were celebrations every day and night.

At first they were happy. They shared the joy of having survived this ordeal with the ones who fought alongside them.

But above all else, Ameriko and Himeno were young and beautiful, and Ameriko in particular was good at giving speeches, so their popularity only grew.

After a few days, the political intentions of the surviving nobles and rich people was starting to become clear, and eventually they began insisting for them to be the first parliamentary leader and prime minister.

They were not willing to take these roles, so they escaped the holy city…

“So, where do we go now? We could go back to my village.”

The road split into two paths. One led to the forest where Chai’s village was, and the other went beyond the mountain range. If someone really was pursuing them, they would soon see them.

They decided to stop and rest while they thought.

The early summer grassy plain was like a field of flowers, with small flowers blooming all over and releasing their scent.

Far in the distance they could see dragons calmly flying towards a mountain.

“What is beyond that mountain?”

“Hum, there are dragons on the peak of that mountain, and people related to them live there.”

“Fantastic! I’ve never seen a real dragon!”

“I suppose we could go sight-seeing.”

“Ah, and the sea is beyond that mountain too! I’ve never seen it either!”

“Sea…!”

“Nice right? And it’s summer too!”

“Then it’s decided. We’re following the road on the mountain range and heading towards the sea!”

Wind blew on the grassy plain, carrying the smell of the earth and grass. Ameriko and Himeno got back on the carriage while listening to the sound of chirping birds. Chai grabbed the reins and resumed their journey.

“To the sea!”

“Yes!”

“Very well!”

All three thought they could not wait to see one of them in their swimwear, although each directed their thoughts at a different person.

There was no longer any reason to rush.

When they looked up, all they saw was the blue sky and large white clouds near the mountains.

It really as summer,

And thus, the story comes to an end, and Ameriko, Himeno, and Chai will begin their new adventure.

Ameriko will surely want to miraculously create a new life with her love that surpasses gender. ‘Where there’s a will there’s a way’ she’d say.

‘No no no!? I won’t have that!’ would say Himeno, as Chai watched quietly.

Explanation.

The old world called Earth was sadly destroyed.

People and countries starting with America and japan were crystallized into ‘world seeds’ and spread into different space-times, to spin new tales.

The infinite seeds brought about endless diverging paths and possibilities. Ameriko and Himeno were but one of those seeds.

No matter the environment, people persevere, certainly even now, somewhere.

Until next time, in another story…!
