The frontier alchemist ~ I can’t go back to that job after you made my budget zero – Chapter 11 – Let’s make magic crystals!!

The kagero fruit filled with magic elements starts spinning inside the tornado.

Obviously, this 《Polish》 scroll does more than just create a tornado. Its true substance are the fine particles inside the tornado. I can freely change the density of the diamond dust and the rotation speed inside the tornado, so I can make minute adjustments.

I increase the density of the diamond dust.

The tornado refracts the sunlight filtered through the kagero trees and begins to shine.

Some villagers cheer when they see this.

“Pretty…”

“Uwah…”

“What is that…?”

The reactions from women are remarkable. I guess it doesn’t matter where you are, ladies still like shiny things.

There are three norms when it comes to magic crystals, size, output, and capacity.

In particular, if the size and output don’t match, they don’t work. The output is determined by how they’re cut.

Thankfully, I can remember the norms of old-style magic crystals perfectly.

I cut the kagero fruit filled with magic elements inside the tornado, while making sure I don’t make it too small.

“All right, that’s done. 《Fixate》.”

I activate the third scroll, completely sealing the magic elements inside the kagero fruit.

After erasing the tornado, I reach out, and above my hand is what was once a kagero fruit, but was cut into a polyhedron and is now a magic crystal with black haze swirling inside it.

“Here you go chief. Try using it to fire your H-32.”

I hand over the magic crystal, and the village chief takes it with trembling hands.

He loads it into his magic gun while the villagers look on with nervous expressions.

The village chief aims towards the sky and pulls the trigger. A streak of black light rushes towards the sky, created by magic elements transformed into a bullet.

“Uoooo!”

“It really is a magic crystal!”

“Now we can live without fear…”

The villagers erupt with joy. That makes it all worth it, I think as I mumble.

“Now, I’ll just keep making them.”

I set two more sets of the same scrolls while watching the happy villagers. I also take out one 《Release》 scroll from my backpack, meaning there are now ten scrolls.

I keep transmuting kagero fruits into magic crystals, three at a time.

At a certain point the villagers stop cheering, and instead look at me like they’re shocked for some reason.
