The frontier alchemist ~ I can’t go back to that job after you made my budget zero – Chapter 335 – Side Ahri – Part fourteen

Highly concentrated magic elements run through my whole body. It’s the second time this has happened today, but the change is more dramatic this time.

My shattered kneecap is restored, and I can bend my leg again.

But I don’t have time to check my condition, and I quickly get up and jump back to action.

My bent fingers are back to normal, and I use them to pick up my spear while I run.

My torn ear is also back, so the sounds around me becomes clearer as I hold up my spear and speed up.

I hear the sound of something cutting through the air, which turns out to be an ant ball headed straight to where I was lying.

I leave that noise behind as I accelerate, going around the ant man in the shortest distance possible to head to the side of the enemy that looks like a village girl.

Ant balls are still being thrown at me, but they are all left behind as I run. And then, I see the village girl about to turn my way.

I keep going and thrust at her neck.

It’s a simple thrust, without the deep crimson light enveloping the spear, but surprisingly, it easily pierces the neck of the village girl.

And I feel a definite impact on my hands.

“Ugeh, you got me. Nice job figuring it out. Ant man can’t walk. But splendid splendid. I took that back. Hn? You’re not really reacting. Oh? Is it actually that you don’t know? This. A shard of power that fell into this world. It’s because of this that you can use the power of status, young lady. Uwa, it’s getting hard to talk.”

The enemy that looks like a village girl sure is talking a lot, considering she has a spear pierced through her throat, but she finally quiets down. Is she dead? Her body then falls limply.

The humanoid monster she called ant man and the other ants clad in purifying light all disappear like they are melting.

I let out a sigh of relief as I watch this, and spit out some glass shards that were still in my mouth.

“Ahh, I took her down somehow. But I don’t really understand what she said in the end. What did she mean by retrieving a shard of power…”

A thought crosses my mind, and I try to envelop my spear in crimson light again.

The light appears just as it did before.

“It doesn’t look like she was talking about this.”

The deep crimson light brightly lights up the basement that became dark when the purifying light disappeared.

“…!”

I suddenly realize something, and hold my spear to check my left eye.

“The color of my eye…”

It’s not clear due to the crimson light, but both my eyes look blue, meaning the color of one of my eyes changed.
