Walking in another world – Chapter 275 – Audience – Part two

“Hm, no need to be so hasty, young lady.”

Rurika calms down, bows, and moves back.

“But it is a dangerous place. And there is no guarantee that she will be there.”

“…But if there is a chance, please tell us.”

“Hm, it is a place that is not really seen as a country… It is located in the depths of the dark forest.”

“Dark forest?”

Alzahak’s words remind me of the demon king.

The demon king and demons. If people live there, maybe it’s not all that surprising that there is a town, but it doesn’t seem possible that other races live there.

Ignis didn’t seem to care about humans one way or the other, but Ado, the demon in the Holy Kingdom, seemed to not see humans as people at all.

Is there really a town where people of other races live next to people like them?

“You might think it is odd, but there is a place where people who ran away from the world… Or were persecuted, gather. In any world, there are people who are different, and those willing to accept them.”

Elves don’t really seem to be persecuted, but there are people who go after them.

Is it possible then?

“But how do you know this?”

That’s probably the number one question right now, so I ask how he came to know this.

“…It was hundreds of years ago, but I have visited it once.”

He seems nostalgic when he says this, but also sad.

“There were humans, beast people, elves, dragon people, demons, all joined together. It was not a rich land, but it was a town more peaceful than any country I have seen.”

“…How do we get there?”

Chris is getting interested too, as she leans forward a little.

“…It will be dangerous. Do you want to go?”

“If there is a chance that we will find her there, yes.”

“There is a town north of the border between the Republic of Eldo and the empire. If you walk off the main road and advance straight north, you will reach the dark forest. And then… If you carry a magic item to guide you, you should reach it.”

Does that mean we can’t get there without said magic item?

“…You can look for it even without the magic item. But as a reward for your efforts, I will let you have it.”

“Are you sure?”

“I have no need for it. If I do want to go there, I just have to fly.”

“T-thank you.”

Chris says as she bows deeply.

“…And…”

Suddenly, Alzahak turns back into his dragon form.

I hear a grinding noise, like he’s clenching his teeth, and then, a fang falls from his mouth.

And then, Alzahak turns back into his humanoid form, picks it up, and hands it to us.

“The dragon god fang is said to kill even a god… This world’s… No, it should also be of help to you in your travels. Make good use of it.”

Yuini and Alfriede are also very surprised by this.

I’m also at a loss. Could I use it to make a weapon? Judging by its size, I think I could only make a short sword or the tip of a spear.

If it’s said to be able to kill even a god, it must mean it has tremendous offensive power. It could be pretty useful when fighting strong monsters.

“I will put it to good use.”

“You will receive the magic item later from Yuini. And since the ship will only be leaving in a few days, I would be happy if you played with the children.”

Is the last thing he says before leaving the audience chamber with Alfriede.

I feel like we should be the ones to leave, but…

“I’m sorry about the commotion. I will also prepare a room, and… I still have some work to do, so will you look after Sirk and Sahana?”

Afterwards, Sirk says he wants to train with the sword, and Sahana wants to learn about cooking, so we split into two groups.

Basically, vanguard and magic. And me? I’m on the cooking team, of course.

Some members of the royal guard will be joining their training, so I doubt it will be very intense.

As for cooking, some cooks who work in the castle will be joining us, and I’ll mostly be teaching them my cooking, or rather, my old world’s cooking.

Yuini in particular is very excited, which makes the cooks fired up too.

Sahana being a princess means she’s never really had the opportunity to cook, and she has a tough time. She reminds me of Mia back when she started.

I guess it makes sense then that Mia is attentively teaching her.

The cooks all seem anxious, but I think we can leave this to Mia.

Eventually, we all make dinner together, and Yuini looks pretty impressed by it.

When it’s time to eat, the whole older sister air around her disappears, and she feels more like Hikari when she’s eating.

It’s where I thout they might have to go. I wonder if sora will meet the demon he made a deal with there. The human empire force i believe are also planning to make a move.

So they are relaxing for a few days before the ship comes
Are they just going to forget they broke the seal at the end of the tree floor, what if everything beyond that is uncharted territory because of the holy seal
