About the case of destruction flags being demolished after a nichiasa loving otaku was reincarnated as a villainous student – Chapter 2 – Honestly, isn’t this too much hatred?

“How did this happen…? Did I do something bad…?”

A few hours later, Yuugo was wrapped up in a sleeping bag like a bagworm, and took a deep sigh as he watched the starry sky twinkling.

This was the Luminous academy. An educational institution where young people hoping to become magic knights gathered.

They would attend it all the way from elementary, to middle school, and high school. They each had their own school buildings of course, but also dormitories, and plenty of educational facilities. It was a noted school even among noted schools.

As Yuugo ruminated on the information he learned from Phi, he cursed his fate of having to camp in a corner of the big academy, and let out sad grumbles.

“Isn’t this weird…? I saved people, right…? Why did this happen?”

It was nice that he coincidentally reincarnated in the body of a person who shared his name in another world, but it seemed this Yuugo was kind of a…

It made sense that he had an unscrupulous character, since he was the type of villain you would see in manga and anime, that got beaten up by the protagonist and had the main heroine taken from him, but Yuugo seemed to be particularly bad.

When he was thrown out of the fancy dormitory where he apparently lived all this time, the other students who lived there ridiculed him and threw things at him.

And before he made his way to a quiet place, people from other dormitories continuously mocked him, and even showered him with verbal abuse directly.

‘It’s what you get for everything you’ve done’, ‘serves you right Yuugo’, ‘just go die in a ditch’. Every time someone said something like that, Yuugo wondered. Just how bad were you, to be hated this much?

Well, he could imagine it. Surely, he used the Clay name and the power of the treasured sword Garandil as a shield to do whatever he wanted right from the start in elementary school. And during those almost ten years, the resentment from people around him kept building.

But then, right after entering high school, he lost a duel embarrassingly, and when word got out that he was disowned by his family, all that resentment exploded, leading to this situation.

Yuugo reached the perfect answer to his question, and yelled at the night sky on the verge of tears.

“I’m so hungry! I’m cold! Someone help!”

As a result of sacrificing himself to save others, he was not only being condemned for bad behavior he had no memory of, but he also had to lie out in the cold. What a terrible end, lamented Yuugo.

He did not know who it was, but if there was a god who was making him go through this, surely it was not a good one. But as he thought this and his empty stomach growled, he heard grass rustling, and saw a small figure approaching him.

“There you are. I finally found you, big brother.”

“Ah, you… Phi, right?”

“Yes! Hum, big brother, I brought you some food from my room. I don’t know if you’ll like it, but you can have it if you want.”

“Eh? Seriously!? Thanks!!”

Phi searched around in his bag, and handed Yuugo bread wrapped in a sack.

As Yuugo thanked his angel of a little brother, who not only looked cute, but had the kind heart to match, he got out of the sleeping bag, and started gobbling the bread.

“So good! So good! Ah, that’s the stuff…!”

“You must’ve been really hungry. Sorry big brother, you wouldn’t have to be hungry if I found you sooner…”

“What are you talking about? Going out of your way to deliver food to me is more than enough. Thank you so much, Phi.”

“Big brother…!”

In this situation where everyone hated him, Yuugo thanked Phi from the bottom of his heart, after being touched by the kindness of the one person who cared about him. As Phi heard him, he also looked back at Yuugo with a happy smile on his face.

Phi then looked down, and spoke timidly.

“Big brother, is your memory back yet? Our father is so terrible, disowning you and kicking you out of the dorm in this condition…!”

“Hm… I’m sure he has his own things going on. Apparently I really did go too far too.”

“…I’m going to talk to him to see if we can get your punishment lifted. Just wait a while.”

“Thanks, but judging by how angry he was, I don’t think that’ll work. And even if I did go back, I’d be sleeping on a bed of nails.”

Yuugo was thankful for Phi’s kindness, but his efforts would most likely end in vain.

Even if he was not disowned anymore, and even if he could return to the dormitory, once the hatred from people around him exploded, there was no taking it back.

He might as well try to get a fresh start.

His mind was dominated by negative thoughts before, but knowing he had Phi on his side meant that Yuugo could be a bit more optimistic.

For whatever reason, he was reincarnated in that world. He could do nothing else but to accept that, and keep on living.

Began its era from zero… As Yuugo hummed a line from a theme song he liked, and slowly began to act more like himself, Phi took something else from his bag and handed it to him.

Thanks!

By the way I will try to spot the Kamen Rider references especially for the Non-Kamen Rider peeps.

“Begin it’s era from zero” – Its about the Kamen Rider Zero One, the first Kamen Rider from the Reiwa Era. Has a quite catchy tune and for some reason MC is realllllly liked by the housewives.
