“Flying Blade – Rotating axe!!”
“Gueh!?”
“Gyah!?”
A throwing axe flew like a boomerang, and sent several magic sword users flying.
The silver-haired boy grasped it strongly when it came back to his hand, walking calmly through the path he just opened, towards Yuugo.
“It looks like I can finally repay my debt, Yuugo. Let me in on this!”
“Hercus! You’re here too!?”
“I thought the guards arrived at the academy, but then I heard you rushed out in a big hurry. I ran towards that big bat in the air, and the rest you know.
I’m plenty healed up and rested! I want to repay my bet to you, so you can count on me.”
Yuugo thanked Hercus too, while tapping him on the shoulder.
It did not just stop at these reassuring reinforcements, as he heard a familiar female voice coming from another direction.
“Everyone, don’t panic! The students of the Luminous Academy are fighting for us, and the guards will be here soon! We need to come together and help each other at a time like this!”
Yelled a girl in a waitress uniform, bringing a bit of composure to the people panicking.
Next to her were two burly males who stood in the way of the magic sword users, which seemed to bring a sense of relief to those who saw them.
“Yuugo, it’s been a while! We’ll take them to safety, so leave that to us!”
“Ehn! And Delta and the owner too!”
After calling out to people, Ehn turned to Yuugo and gave him a peace sign as she yelled towards him.
Despite her being a civilian, she went there to help how she could, along with Delta, who fearfully kept magic sword users in check, and the cafe owner, who swung a frying pan around as a weapon.
Yuugo smiled when he saw them, and a girl ran past him.
“Are you all right? I will heal those wounds right away…!”
A blonde girl… Claire, caressed the head of the child Yuugo saved, while casting healing magic.
The gently smiling girl stood up, and bowed a little while looking at Yuugo.
“I apologize for the delay, Mister Yuugo. I wanted to bring Mister Zenon with me, but he is still holed up in his room…”
“No, thanks Claire. I’m glad you’re here to help.”
“There is no need to thank me. We all have been helped by you. I will gladly take an opportunity to repay the favor.”
Said Claire with a small smile, and Hercus nodded widely.
Marcos let out a big exaggerated snort, and spoke to Yuugo again.
“Looks like you’ve been busy while I was away. It’s just like you, my friend.”
“Uh? Marcos? Why are you here?”
“You’re just realizing it!? Listen up then! I have rushed into this peril to save my friend and rival Yuugo Clay! Faster than any of you, I might add!!”
“Fufufu…! But you are the same as all of us. Here to save Mister Yuugo as his friend.”
Said Claire while giggling, which threw off Marcos, who fell silent other than groaning a little.
In the meantime, Melt, Phi, and Angel also ran towards the others, facing both the magic sword wielding students who were all heading towards them at once, and the flying Isaac.
“Yuugo, leave this to us and go after Neid! With this amount of backup, we’ll manage!”
“You can still make it if you hurry! He knows how to produce magic swords, so you can’t let him get away!”
“Melt, Phi…”
They now had enough people to suppress the magic sword users, and lead people to safety.
Both said Yuugo could leave and go after Neid, and Marcos added to it.
“Go, Yuugo. I’ll take on that monster armor beast. Worry not, friend. I swear on the pride of the honorable Bolg house that I will protect these people!”
“What are you getting so worked up about on your own!? We’re all here, you’re not the only one fighting!”
“Now now, calm down. Everyone is here fighting for the same reason, the people.”
It felt as though the mood had turned from a desperate situation to being somewhat light.
Yuugo nodded to his reliable friends, and Angel spoke before he left.
“Yuugo… Please stop Neid. He’s using his power as a technician for the wrong reasons. If he’s not stopped, a lot of people will suffer, and the pride of us technicians will be soiled. We absolutely can’t let…!!”
“Yes, I know. I’ll stop him, An. With this Blaster that has mine, yours, and everyone’s feelings packed into it.”
Yuugo said, out of his Blaster form, while looking directly at Angel.
Angel nodded at his eyes filled with a trustworthy rock solid determination, when they heard a rumbling far away.
“W-what was that noise!? A new monster armor beast!?”
Everyone braced as they sensed something coming from far away. And when they looked in its direction, they saw something black dashing towards them incredibly fast.
Marcos was flustered when he saw this, and yelled towards Yuugo.
“Yuugo, get back! Whatever may come, my Giga Scissors will push it back!”
“No, it’s all right. Don’t worry.”
Marcos was on full alert because of this sudden intruder, but Yuugo stopped him with a smile, and raised his hand at what was coming.
This black whatever it was kicked the ground strongly as it jumped, and landed next to him as the earth trembled.
“…You’re here too, Skull. You’re all too good for me.”
“Pfuuuu!!”
The monster armor beast that retained its sense of reasoning… Or rather, the black horse Skull, exhaled as if responding to Yuugo.
Skull ran there to help its friend, who once helped it defeat its sworn enemy, and it gestured by swinging its head for Yuugo to get on it.
Yuugo did just that, and spoke while looking at everyone.
“Everyone, I’m leaving this to you! Don’t overdo it!”
“Same to you, Yuugo! You’re so quick to overdo it too…!”
“Be careful big brother! We’ll go help you once the guards get here!”
“Ou! You got it! Ah… Hey Marcos! This is important, so listen closely!”
“Hn? Hnn? W-what? What is so important?”
Marcos was a little thrown off after being named all of a sudden.
He thought for sure he was going to get advice about how to fight this strong enemy… But the advice he got from Yuugo was something he did not understand at all.
“Watch out for attacks to the buckle! Seriously, you could die!!”
“A-ah? Hey, what does that even mean!?”
“It’s exactly what it sounds like! If a crab is fighting a bat, he has to keep that in mind at all cost! Got it!?”
“Ah, hey! I really don’t get it! Explain it in a way I understand! Come back!!”
A tokusatsu otaku would understand it immediately, but this advice was completely incomprehensible to Marcos.
And as Yuugo left this baffling advice behind and Marcos yelled towards his back, everyone thought it was funny, relieving the sense of tension around them.
“What is it with him!? He’s just going to baffle me like that and leave!?”
“Yuugo really is impossible to read. I like that side of him. It’s funny.”
“I think he was trying to say to not let your guard down too much. I still don’t get it though.”
Everyone stated their thoughts after Yuugo left after Neid, as they faced their enemies again.
They held up their magic items, and just before she started fighting again… Angel looked at Yuugo’s back and smiled for a moment as she whispered.
“We’re trusting you with our feelings… Go save the world, hero!”
