“Phi has been working too hard lately…”
“Isn’t that good? He’s remodeling and adjusting Blaster for you. You should be thankful for your little brother.”
“Of course I am! But he’s never been that healthy to begin with, so his big brother here is worried about him not taking care of himself and overworking…”
Yuugo said with an uneasy tone, as he looked at the bracelet equipped on his arm.
Angel’s help meant Phi had not been doing as much lately, but he was still participating in making minor adjustments and adding new features. Even this day, he worked on adding a fire element to the sword that was created.
Angel was immersed in something else, and worked out plans to complete the unfinished flaming armor. Yuugo knew she could not devote all of her attention to Blaster.
He was aware that Phi had to help to some extent, but still worried he was taking on too much,
“Phi just wants to help you. That’s why he’s trying so hard.”
“Unlike us, he can’t fight, and he’s pouring the irritation he feels over that into Blaster’s adjustments.”
“I get that Melt, but it’s still not good to work too hard. Isn’t there a way to get him to relax?”
Yuugo was happy about Phi working so hard for his sake, but wished he took better care of himself.
And as Yuugo worried about his little brother working too hard and collapsing, Melt put her hand on his shoulder and offered a suggestion.
“Then how about we go somewhere away from the academy? I think Phi needs some time away from the studio and school to take it easy!”
“So like a picnic… Nice…!”
“Right!? Taking in the clean air in nature, getting boxed lunches ready…! Class will start again soon, so camping for a night before that happens isn’t a bad idea, right!?”
“Sounds nice! You’re really good at this, Melt! That’s going to be a nice change of pace!”
“…How is that a change of pace when you camp by yourself every day?”
Marcos was a little exasperated, but Yuugo was not listening anymore.
He thought only about going out and enjoying nature with his little brother, but then he realized something and asked a question.
“Hey, camping and having a picnic is nice, but who’s going to make the food? I’m not going to cook out here…”
“I can’t either… I can make simple things, but I’m not that confident.”
“Do I look like the kinda girl that can cook?”
“Sorry, but I don’t know how to cook either. In fact, won’t it be hard for an amateur to cook for the four of us plus Phi?”
It seemed plausible that the best cook among them was Yuugo. That was the impression he got.
The problem was that he was a perennial camper, and his cooking skills were also just average.
He could not cook without the necessary equipment, and even if he could, it would be hard to cook for all five.
He felt like buying food off the shelf was a waste, since they were going out and everything, but then Melt clapped her hands.
“Ah! Then how about we ask someone that’s good at cooking!? There’s a cooking club in this academy, so how about we ask one of the students there!?”
“There’s a cooking club!?”
“Yes yes! I doubt they’ll agree, but we can ask anyway. I heard they’ve all been gathering in the home economics room while classes are suspended, so there should be someone there!”
“All right! Let’s go right away then! Melt and An, go talk to Phi! I’ll go to the cooking club with Marcos to ask them if they can make us food!”
“Ah! Hey, Yuugo!”
Yuugo dashed away like that wind before anyone could say anything.
Marcos sighed while looking at him with an uneasy expression, but… Ran after him, thinking there was nothing that could be done.
“…Is Yuugo gonna be all right?”
“It’s okay! He has great communication skills, so he’ll manage! Let’s go invite Phi!”
Angel responded vaguely to the optimistic Melt, but had an expression on her face that was similar to Marcos’, as she watched them run.
But she also thought nothing could be done, so she focused on her part, and walked with Melt to the dormitory of the elementary school.
