“How’s the view on top of Skull, Phi?”
“Amazing! I can see so far!”
“Hahaha! Right? And you’re looking good too Skull, with that cool armor we had made!”
Said Yuugo to his beloved horse, as he had his brother Phi ride it.
Skull, the skeleton monster, was now clad in black armor that hid most of its body.
Skull seemed proud, as it moved forward and the armor the same color as Blaster sparkled in the sunlight, and its creator, Angel, joined the conversation.
“Nice, right? The design is just how I like it. I think it’ll be fine, but it’d be a pain if sunlight hit Skull and its true form was revealed. I got it armor to protect it from the sun, and to act as defensive equipment.”
“Thanks An. But where did you get the materials?”
“Jinba hooked me up just a tiny bit. It uses the same metal particles as Blaster, so it can also be used to supply metal particles if you ever need them.”
“Ahh, awesome…”
The materials themselves might be ubiquitous, but it would still take a lot of them to make armor for a horse.
Yuugo was thankful to both Jinba for getting them, and Angel for making the armor, as Angel whispered in his ear.
“…Well, I’ve been focused on my own thing and leaving Blaster’s tuning to Phi. I feel responsible for putting that burden on him, so this is the least I can do.”
“An… Thanks.”
Yuugo was filled once again with gratitude towards his friends who did so much for him and his brother.
That was the case for Angel, but Melt and Marcos were also coming along in the trip to gather ingredients, so he was thankful to have his friends, whose support was vital to make this outing a reality. But…
“Well then, I need to check how well it feels to ride with that armor I made. You can stay there Phi, we’ll ride together.”
“Eh? B-but…”
“Don’t be embarrassed, you can use my boobs as cushions. Or do you want to hold your big sister from behind?”
“Hey, stop harassing Phi!”
Said Yuugo, as Angel purposefully showed off her large chest, and Yuugo wanted his feelings of gratitude back.
Angel cackled loudly like she was not serious, and the others joined in, drawn by that lively mood.
“It’s fine! It’s a rare experience, right!? Phi is looking kind of expectant too.”
“Ueh!? I-I’m not! Don’t say something like that! It sounds wrong!”
“Riding together sounds nice…! Yuugo, let’s do that later! You go in front, and I’ll sit behind you!”
“…I know you’re forgetting because you’ve gotten pretty friendly, but this is a magic beast. It’s a pretty strange situation if you really think about it…”
“Fufufu…! It sounds like you’re enjoying yourselves a lot! I’m glad to see you have such delightful friends, Yuugo~!”
“Ah, president. I’m sorry for all the noise…”
It was noisy, but no doubt also lively and bright.
Yuugo responded to Precia, while thinking that he hoped this outing would be fun for Phi as well, when she turned to Phi with a gentle smile and spoke to him while he sat on the horse.
“It’s nice that you get to go out with your big brother and friends! We have a nice meal ready too, so look forward to it~!”
“Y-yes. Thank you!”
Phi responded loudly and cheerfully, despite being embarrassed, and Precia nodded with a warm smile.
Yuugo thought about how she treated everyone kindly, so Phi could talk to her without fear. But then, Hao, the vice-president, spoke.
“Yuugo Clay…! Just so you know, I haven’t forgiven you, and I don’t trust you. If you make the president sad or hurt her, I’ll cut you into slices on the spot, so don’t forget that.”
“Yep…! It’s okay, I’ll remember. I promise I won’t do either!”
Hao and Yuugo were the same age, but Yuugo felt a sense of pressure that made him speak as though Hao was older.
However, although he did not need Hao’s warning to feel like he had to do everything he could to repay Precia’s kindness, he still took the warning seriously, and responded in a way that showed he did not intend to betray those expectations.
…But it was not that easy to gain trust.
Yuugo spoke to his friends again, this time with Precia added to the group. And as Hao anxiously watched, he spoke to Egos, who he called out to with a request.
