“Uhyoh! This is now my room!? It’s like I’m in a theme park! I’m so excited!!”
It was a simple room with only a bed, a wardrobe, and a desk for studying.
But for someone who had been living outdoors, it was the room with walls and a roof he desired all this time.
Yuugo put his stuff down, very happy about having a place of his own, and gave a satisfied nod as he looked around.
“I thought for sure two people had to share a room, but I get to have one for myself? I really feel like I got something here.”
That was the impression Yuugo had of school dormitories, everyone had a roommate. But from what he could tell from the furniture, this was his room.
Was he special? Was this the default for Luminous Academy? He did not know, but as he tasted the privacy of having a room instead of sleeping outside…
“I’m coming in! Congratulations on escaping your camping life, Yuugo!”
“Oh! Melt!! You came to congratulate me on moving? Thanks!!”
Melt entered the room with a bang, and Yuugo thanked her.
He thought about how he did not lock the door, but there was nothing there that would embarrass him, so he thanked her for something else.
“I heard from Mister Castle that you asked him to give me a room. Thank you so much.”
“Don’t worry about that! We asked, but it was him who actually made it happen!”
It was because Melt and the others asked Uno that Yuugo got to move there.
He thanked one of his friends who went out of her way to make that request to a teacher, but she responded with a warm cackle, and looked around the room with him.
“Nice room! It’s going to be a lot different from your camping era!”
“I had a tent, but it got cold when it rained, and the wind was noisy… But that’s in the past!”
“You have a wardrobe for your clothes, so make sure you keep it in order. Put away the clothes we bought together properly.”
“I know! I have somewhere to put them now, so maybe I’ll buy clothes and things I like…?”
“Oh, nice! Then let’s go shopping again sometime. You’ve been busy with improving Blaster and doing requests… So let’s go on another date.”
Melt and Yuugo chatted, but he became embarrassed as he felt this was the scene of a girlfriend visiting her boyfriend after he moved.
Perhaps she picked up on that, because a small smile formed on her face, and she sat on Yuugo’s bed.
“Now we can be alone together if you want. We don’t have to worry about prying eyes, and talking outside was a little embarrassing.”
“I-I guess. But you can’t come here whenever. This is a boy’s dormitory, not a place for a girl to just waltz in whenever she wants.”
“Fufu! Yes. But still, you can finally sleep on a bed! This is pretty comfortable.”
“H-hm…?”
Melt smiled in an alluring way as she laid on the bed.
There was a lot Yuugo could point out, like how unguarded she was on a guy’s bed in his room, what if her skirt was lifted… But he felt she would win if he said any of that, so he said nothing.
“Make sure you invite me. I won’t forgive you if I’m not the first one to have a date in your place.”
“Y-yes… No, hold on. We’re in here alone, so aren’t we basically having that date already?”
“No, I barged in, you didn’t invite me. It’s different! You really don’t get these things!”
“S-sorry, sorry…!”
Melt jumped from the bed and pressed Yuugo, who apologized with an awkward smile.
He thought he really did not understand the intricacies of a girl’s heart, and how hard it was to deal with a girl’s feelings, when a god descended to save him.
“Fuhahahaha! It seems you escaped life outdoors, Yuugo! I have come to congratulate you on moving as your greatest friend and rival! And I brought a delicacy from my town as a gift, Borg crab! Thank my friendship and consideration as you sob and eat! Fuhahahaha!”
“O-ooh! Marcos! Good timing… I mean, thanks for coming!”
Yuugo lacked the power to deal with a girl at that moment, and especially the mental fortitude to be alone with Melt.
He felt relieved as Marcos arrived to rescue him with a boundless easygoing attitude, and more people came to congratulate him one after the other.
