Said Yuugo while getting up, even though Avado was clearly trying to start a conversation. And Avado seemed very eager to keep him there.
“Now now, wait! We contacted your friends, and your change of clothes isn’t here yet! We can take it easy here a bit longer, right!?”
“Hn…?”
He was right, but also strange. The way Avado seemed so pushy made it all seem very suspicious to Yuugo.
But since Yuugo could not completely deny that he might be acting out of pure kindness, he could not put his misgivings into words, and stopped at looking at him with suspicion.
Perhaps Avado knew what Yuugo was thinking, perhaps not, but he continued looking at him with a smile.
“Baths sure are nice! Especially with someone else! Don’t you think so?”

Yuugo felt the conversation was quite forced, but even if Avado was trying to keep him in the bath, what purpose could that serve?
It was suspicious, but as Yuugo thought that the most dubious part of it all was that he could not understand why he would do this…

“I heard from someone in this dormitory that your clothes got wet. Marcos told me to bring you a change of clothes.”
“Oh, I see! Thanks!”

Yuugo heard his brother’s voice from the changing room, and let out a sigh of relief and thanked him for bringing him clothes.
He did not feel like staying with Avado, especially since he had no idea what he was thinking, so he ignored his pleas for him to stay, and headed towards his little brother.
“Here’s a towel. That was really unlucky, big brother.”
“Thanks, Phi. What a pain this turned into.”
Said Yuugo with an awkward smile while taking the towel and drying himself.
He then put on his clothes, but as he grabbed the other clothes that were in a basket, his expression turned suspicious when he equipped his bracelet.
“Hn? Hnn…?”
“What is it big brother?”
“Something doesn’t feel right…”
Yuugo could not quite express it, but something was off. He did not know what it was, but something was strange.
But what made him feel this way? As he scrambled to find the answer, some boys entered the changing room.
“Oh, there he is! Hi new guy! Taking a bath at this hour, uh? The former heir to a big noble family is still feeling pretty carefree, isn’t he!?”

“We live here. We’re your seniors in this place. We heard there was a new guy, so we went out looking for him.”

They grinned at him, and continued.
“By the way, we have a tradition of welcoming new guys… We need to see how strong you are, so come with us for a little exercise. Just so you know, you can’t say no.”
“E-eh!? No, wait a second! I have friends waiting for me in my room, and I just got out of the bath. I can’t go exercise now…”
“We know. You just got here and you’re already taking girls to your room… Ahem, outrageous! We need to beat you into shape, so come with us!!”
“Eh…!?”
The situation turned iffy, as Yuugo was surrounded by his dormitory seniors.
He realized they were right, and he was not in a position to refuse, so he let out a deep sigh, and spoke with a less than eager voice.
“Fine. So what do you want to do?”
“Just have a bout. We’re not going to duel with anything on the line, just a casual match. Think of it as a bit of a tough welcome ritual.”
Yuugo felt a little relieved, thinking at least they were not up to something that weird.
He was not completely oblivious to the fact that not seeing fighting as something weird was in itself weird, but figured this was still a lot better than being surrounded and tackled by the American football club, so he followed them to the training area.
