He beared the pain from the wound and fought off his fear, as he spread his arms and stood in front of the monster to protect Yui.
Yui knew he was doing this, and shouted while shaking her head.
“Stop! Don’t do all this for me! She really is going to kill you!”
“I promised… I would protect you no matter what…! Heroes don’t give up, especially when there’s someone they want to protect… That’s a hero condition my big brother taught me. I’m weak, but I won’t give up…!”
Phi’s face twisted with pain and he struggled to breathe, but he still stood and spoke with groans between his words.
Yui gulped as she saw that even in this weakened state, his reliable soul shined from his whole body, and Riel sounded irritated.
“…How vexing. All flirty even though you’re kids. That happiness is annoying too but… Being scared and not faltering before superior beings such as we is even more annoying. I’ll beat you to a pulp. Until your heart breaks, and until that pitiful resistance of yours reaches its limit. I’ll cut you to the brink of death and no further.”

Riel seethed with anger, and raised her swords above her head.
Yui shook, fearing she would lose someone important to her, and yelled.
“Help, big brother!!”
Strong wind blew. Strong, intense, sharp.
It passed right by Yui to crash into Riel, who was about to swing down at Phi, blowing her body back.
“Gubieh!?”
“Ah…!?”
It was not Phi who screamed, and once Yui realized it was Riel and raised her head…
She saw the shine of a strong soul.
She was relieved, as the person she wanted there the most had arrived, and he offered his highest praise to the one still standing before that strong enemy.
“Phi…You really are strong. I’m glad Yui was with you. Leave the rest to me.”
“Ryuuga…”
Phi looked at Ryuuga, who praised him with a gentle tone, and crumpled after letting out a sigh of relief.
Ryuuga held him as he fell, and as he left him to his little sister, who quickly came running, Riel got up and spoke with an even more irritated tone.
“Are you going to get in my way too? Do you think you can just displease a superior being? Are you ready to die?”
Ryuuga showed no reaction to this threat filled with explosive bloodlust.
He warded off an attack, and protected the others while making his dear Loong King Fang sword shine. He withdrew the gentle smile he showed Phi, and took aim at the monster armor beast he had to take down.
“Don’t… Ask me questions.”
“Aaaaaaah! So irritating! I’ll mince you first!!”
There was no fear or regret in Ryuuga’s response, taking Riel’s anger beyond its limits.
And after he once again showed no response, Ryuuga’s usual gentle demeanor disappeared, as he handled the monster armor beast and turned into a cold-hearted swordsman.
