Three girls were in a large public bath in the girls dormitory where Melt lived.
Melt looked at her naked romantic rival, as Setsuna spoke with a somewhat confident smile.
“Oh? What is it? Were you hoping I misrepresented their size? If so, too bad.”

Melt was undaunted by Setsuna’s provocation, and pushed her chest against Setsuna’s.
Both had serious expressions on their faces, as they pushed their chests together and confirmed the size, weight, and feel of the other’s weapons.
“…It seems you are pretty strong. That along with your closeness to Yuugo makes you an opponent I have to take seriously.”
“And it looks like you’re real. But I’m not gonna lose so easily!”
They glared at each other, and continued to press their points of pride against the other.
It appeared to be a stalemate, as both looked flustered and were sweating, when a third person put a stop to it.
“That’s enough. I know you can only do that here, but isn’t this an unproductive fight?”
“Uu…!?”
“Uuu…!!”
Angel pulled them apart as she spoke with an exasperated expression.
Melt and Setsuna were taken aback, because as she did so, she also freely displayed her own chest.
…It was clear she was showing her weapons were more powerful than theirs, and it would be correct to say that withered their will to fight.
“If you wanna compete over boobs and butts, I’m here for you. But who’s gonna beat me!? Hahahahaha!!”

“…I guess you’re right. When you put it like that, it really is a useless battle.”
“I will step down for your sake… Or for the sake of your breasts…”
Angel appeared to be both fooling around and serious, but what she said made sense, so Melt and Setsuna obliged.
All three sank into the bath, and spoke in the steamy room.
“Hn… This is so nice! People say it’s like washing the heart!”
“Well, I can agree with that… But why did you decide to come here all of a sudden?”
“We’re gonna be in the same party from now on, so I figured we could deepen our friendship. If girls hang out naked, their distance shrinks a lot, right?”
Angel was the one who proposed they went to the bath. She invited Raiha and Claire too, but both declined.
That meant it was the three who could be said to be in Yuugo’s party, but it appeared Melt and Setsuna were not too convinced.
Angel laughed awkwardly at the quizzical looks pointed at her, and continued.
“We’re the only ones here at this time of day, and since we don’t have our magic items at hand, there won’t be a fight even if things get heated, right? I’m sure you want to know some things about each other too… So shouldn’t we let it all out here so the mood doesn’t stay all cold?”

Basically, the idea was to literally expose themselves.
Being in a bath was ideal to create a situation that would not lead to a big fight. Not to mention it was private.
Setsuna agreed with Angel, and Melt turned to her with a question.
“Hum… Do you really like Yuugo? Aren’t you just trying to get him while you can to use him for your own goals?”
“…What about you, Melt Epee? Do you like Yuugo?”
Setsuna threw that direct question back at Melt.
Melt’s face turned red, but she stood her ground.
“I… Do like Yuugo. I got carried away and kissed him, but after standing by him and watching him, I can speak loudly and say I like him. It’s not because he’s strong, but because he tries so hard for others, and approaches hurt people with kindness. That’s why I want to become a strong and kind person that can stay close to him.”
“I see… That’s nice, very sincere. I’m jealous.”
Setsuna praised Melt after she spoke clearly despite her embarrassment.
There was no cynicism to it, she meant what she said.
“I can’t say with certainty that I will like him the way you do. There is some self-interest involved. That’s why I think anything I say will make you angry.”
“I won’t get angry. I want to know what my rival is thinking that made her propose marriage… What you’re thinking. If you tell me, I’ll listen to it all.”
Setsuna sounded just a little scared, but Melt looked directly at her and urged her to speak.
Setsuna gulped a little at how seriously and directly she was being looked at, and spoke quietly about the emotions inside her.
“I do feel affection, but I believe the emotions inside me are better described as… Admiration.”
