“What are you doing!? This is a meeting of the Friends of the Night Society!”
“I know! That’s why I’m here! We don’t have any business with you! Let us through!”
Shian was looking for Sakura where the meeting was taking place, and shuddered as he heard a voice he recognized approaching.
Others also turned to the entrance where they heard the commotion, and Shian saw the person he expected to see ignoring the people trying to stop her.
“Students of Luminous Academy! Leave right now! It’s preposterous that you’re attending a meeting to worship a criminal!”
“Guah…! Ramy is here…!?”
The scenario was changing again…Thought Shian as he saw Ramy enter the meeting area.
First he was unable to find Sakura, and now there was another unexpected happening. He struggled to figure out what to do, but fervent believers of Black Veil blocked Ramy’s path.
“Stop! Who are you to invade our meeting and say that!?”
“Calling Black Veil a criminal is an unforgivable crime!!”
“I said I’m not here to talk to you! Move out of my way!!”
The moment Ramy yelled, students who accompanied her (most likely upperclassmen) blew away the believers of Black Veil blocking her path.
A big stir spread in the venue, and after looking around, Ramy locked eyes with Shian, whose expression made his worry obvious.
“Shian Feir! Even you are in a place like this…!!”
“N-no, you’ve got it all wrong! There’s a good reason why I’m here! I’m definitely not a Black Veil believer!”
Ramy yelled with disappointment and anger, and Shian approached her to try his best to come up with excuses.
It definitely did sound like excuses, but he really was not a believer of Black Veil, and he tried his best to make that come across.
“I’m just here because I heard Sakura was here, and I wanted to take her back! It’s clear that attending a dangerous meeting like this would be dangerous for her! I’m here to save her before anything can…”
“Yes, that’s right. Surely there are other students who came here to help Amamiya.”
“Yes. So I…”
“But then why are you all working alone? You didn’t report to us teachers, and just went into business for yourselves…! Do you know what might have happened!?”
“Eh…!?”
Shian had a valid reason, his buffs as a main character, and the favorability he had built up, so he thought he could overcome this, but was surprised and stunned when he received a different response than he expected.
Ramy looked at him, and the other students called hero prospects, and spoke about the harm that was being done as if admonishing them.
“Listen, a lot of students followed you here because the hero prospects decided to attend the meeting, even if it was to look for Amamiya. There are rumors among the students that you are believers of Black Veil.”
“N-no way! We didn’t mean for…!!”
“It looks like you didn’t work together and share information…! If you knew Amamiya was coming here, you should have told me first! What if your involvement just makes things worse!?”
“Uu…”
Ramy yelled hysterically, but she was right, so there was nothing he could say in return.
As he thought that what Egos did might have lowered her favorability and resented his partner for messing up like that, he cursed Ramy at the same time.
(We can’t work together when we’re all after Sakura. And this wasn’t a problem in the story so why would we…!?)
He knew there were a lot of changes to the scenario. But Shian and the others could not forget the knowledge of the game they had, and could only act as though they were playing it.
They did not think for a second that their actions might have caused that, but as they were harshly scolded, a man’s voice silently but boldly echoed.
“Well then… It seems we have quite the stubborn guest.”
That voice made every believer go quiet.
They moved left or right to open a path for this person, a middle-aged man in a gaudy outfit.
“And you are…?”
“It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance, teacher of Luminous Academy. My name is Glonas, and I will be acting as the representative of this meeting of the Friends of the Night Society.”
