Many onlookers and guards surrounded the building. And as Jinba looked at the mysterious plants covering the hospital, Melt called out from behind him.
Jinba responded as she ran towards him with friends, and was bombarded with questions by Melt, Marcos, and Sakura.
“What happened!? What’s that plant!?”
“Is there hope of a plan to storm the building? Is entering it even possible?”
“What happened to the people inside!? Is there perhaps a way to confirm their status!?”
“Hey hey, one question at a time. We’re confused enough as it is.”
Jinba spoke with a sullen expression as he tried to calm the flustered trio.
And next to them, the calmer members processed the situation while looking at the building.
“The flower blooming on the roof is probably the cause. The hospital is surrounded by what looks like thorny shrub, cutting us from the inside and vice-versa. It will be tough to go in…”
“But if we burn it, we will burn the hospital along with it. It’s tricky.”
“You’re right. The thorny shrub grows right back if we cut it, and a wide area attack will damage the hospital. And to make matters worse, that huge flower on the roof won’t let us enter from there…”
Jinba agreed with Setsuna and Angel’s assessment, and explained further.
But as he was about to continue, Ryuuga passed by while putting his hand on his katana.

“Don’t ask me questions. I just have to cut the thorny shrub and walls in a way that doesn’t damage the hospital, right? I can do that easily.”
He held his Loong King Fang to cut the entrance and get inside. But Jinba stepped in to stop him.
“Stop! That flower is an exprose, and it covered the place with bombs it created with magic energy! If you attack, they might explode!!”
“What…!?”
Ryuuga heard Jinba, and was shocked as he stopped.
He clenched his fists in frustration, as he learned the biggest reason why the guards were being very careful, and Melt was also surprised to hear the name exprose.
“That big flower is an exprose!? I saw it in a picture book, but those monsters aren’t supposed to be so big, are they!?”
“I’ve never seen one so big either. But exprose have a tendency to protect their territory. That much is a match.”
“An abnormally developed specimen… Or rather, a monster armor beast? Considering the size and the way it moves its thorny shrub like tentacles, I would say the other one is a kraken.”
“A kraken and exprose monster armor beast is unprecedented. A whole new kind of monster armor beast…!?”
Everyone was surprised about this monster armor beast with no reported sightings.
Surely the lack of a countermeasure was what caused the guards to be slow in dealing with it, but Ryuuga could not hide his irritation as he groaned and spoke.

Yui was in the hospital, and the concern for her safety made Ryuuga lose his cool.
It was Marcos who grabbed his shoulder as he looked to be ready to start cutting at the monster armor beast covering the hospital, and he talked him down while looking directly into his eyes.
“We need to be calm at a time like this. Doing something out of panic could make it worse. The correct way is to solve one problem at a time.”
“But…!!”
“It’s all right. Yuugo is in there. He will protect your sister and the patients still inside. Trust him, Ryuuga!”
“…Yes, you’re right. I’m sorry, I panicked too much.”
Yuugo was in the hospital… And as Ryuuga heard Marcos speak of him with full confidence, he exhaled and let the tension out of his shoulders.
Marcos nodded as he saw Ryuuga regain his composure, and Sakura and Setsuna spoke.
“Not just Yuugo, Raiha too. As a combat miko, she can be relied on at a time like this.”
“Precisely! We must trust them and do what we can!”
Ryuuga nodded silently.
And as they all agreed to leave the interior of the hospital to Yuugo and do what they could outside, Angel took a communications device from her cleavage.
“Well, that said… We need to check the situation inside. I wanna exchange information, so let’s try calling.”
“Can you get through?”
