“An? Is that you you!?”
“Okay I got through! Yuugo, can you hear me?”
“Perfectly. You really do good work.”
“I figured you were okay. I was never worried in the first place.”
“I’m glad to hear you, Marcos. If Ryuuga is there, tell him Yui is okay.”
“I can hear you, Yuugo. Thanks for the concern. But shouldn’t you worry about yourself instead?”
“Haha, yes… Sorry, but can you tell me what it’s like out there? I could use some information.”
After confirming that the communications devices were working without a problem, Angel told Yuugo what they knew.
The giant flower on the roof was most likely the culprit, the guards could not make a move due to the exprose elements, and the other monster that constituted this monster armor beast was a kraken. Yuugo whispered in understanding.
“Kraken!? A huge squid!? No wonder hitting it felt weird.”
Yuugo said as he realized that strange feeling came from it being a mollusk.
He thought back to a certain work with a hero revived from ancient times, that had a kaijin whose motif was that it could absorb the impact of hits. Meanwhile, a surprised Angel asked a question.
“Felt weird… Did you fight that huge flower!?”
“No, that’s not what I fought.”
Yuugo then reported what happened in the hospital.
Angel heard this important information with Jinba, and realized something.
“So that flower just appeared out of nowhere? Then…”
“I’m pretty sure someone planted it. But is it possible to create a monster armor beast…?”
“If nothing else, we’ve come across a few cases of humans being turned into them, so it’s well possible that someone made a monster armor beast, right?”
All the nurses and doctors in the hospital confirmed that there was no sign that such a thing would happen.
This meant that someone brought the monster armor beast to the hospital before it grew, and accelerated its growth.
Then Yuugo raised his voice as he remembered something.
“Ah, that’s right! Just before it appeared, there was a guy rushing out of the hospital!!”
“Ah…! He bumped into me…!!”
He bumped into Raiha as she was about to speak to Yuugo, and ran.
It was right after this happened that the monster armor beast appeared.
This meant that he left the giant flower on the roof, and escaped before it grew.
That unnatural behavior made sense, knowing he was trying not to be present when this incident happened.
“There is merit in finding and interrogating this suspicious man. I’ll put some people on it.”
“Are you sure? He’s probably far away by now.”
“No, this kind of criminal is surely watching people panic from somewhere. Especially one who was on the scene spreading the seeds himself.”
Someone who entered the building and started the incident himself was surely hiding somewhere watching it unfold.
Jinba profiled him, thinking there was a good chance this crime was committed for the amusement of the criminal, and the conversation changed to escaping the hospital.
“The patients are gathered in the waiting room of the first floor. They could escape if the door was opened… But the thorny shrub is keeping it closed.”
“That can’t be a coincidence. It’s sealing the exit to trap people inside.”
“And it’s sending underlings to attack people… I think it’s somewhat intelligent.”
“So this is its territory and we’re prey thrown into its nest? That’s not funny.”
Yuugo groaned with annoyance, as he found himself locked inside a hospital that became a monster armor beast hunting ground.
He thought to himself that he saw something similar in a show, and tried his hardest to remember how the people in that situation got out, as his friends continued speaking.
“And if we do something reckless, the exprose bombs might all go off.”
“These bombs are much bigger than what a normal exprose makes, so we can assume the same goes for their power…”
“But this isn’t good! If a lot of those humanoid plants Yuugo fought appear, he won’t be able to handle them all!”
“At least… If we could at least remove the bombs…!”
If they could capture the culprit and get the information on how to defeat the giant plant out of him…
The priorities were his capture and the release of the people inside. But as Jinba groaned about the magic energy bombs in their way, Raiha spoke.
