“…It’s weirdly noisy. Did something happen?”
Melt looked puzzled, as she splashed in the water and heard noise from outside.
She was letting go of that day’s exhaustion in a nice warm bath, but this was spoiling it.
“Maybe I’ll end it here. I need to wake up early tomorrow too…”
She whispered as she got up from the bathtub.
Melt was a little excited about having a big bathing area that could fit three people all to herself, as she pulled up a stool and placed it under the shower.
She placed her big round butt on it, and was about to use the water to wash her hair, when she heard the clanking sound of the dressing room door opening.
“Eh…!? W-what’s with you!? I’m in here!”
Melt wondered who it could be, since all the other girls took their baths before her. And when she turned around, she saw three men.
She was surprised, and covered her chest with her left hand while yelling at them, but she noticed there was something off about them.
“Come… Co… Me…!”
“W-what? What is…?”
Their lifeless, empty eyes were looking at Melt, but there was no libido in them, or any emotion for that matter.
They kept dragging themselves closer while repeating the same thing, and Melt’s expression turned to fear and confusion.
(I left Seward Ring in the dressing room. I don’t have anything to fight with…!!)
She could pacify them easily if she had her magic item, but since she left it outside with her clothes, she had nothing.
She could also attack with magic, but she mainly used healing and support magic, so she was not particularly good with offensive magic. And if she took one out, the other two would press closer.
“Come. Come this way…”
“G-get away! If you get any closer, I’ll attack with magic!!”
She put out her right hand towards them as she warned them, so she could be ready to fire magic at any time, but the men continued to move as if nothing happened.
The only exit was behind them. Her extended right hand trembled, as she felt an indescribable fear over being trapped in this bathing area with no escape.
But someone else entered the scene, with loud footsteps.
“Melt! Are you all right!?”
“Yuugo!”
Yuugo jumped into the bathing area while yelling towards Melt, and his expression changed when he saw the men pressing towards her.
He immediately chopped one in the neck, rendering him unconscious. And as the other two turned his way with languid movements, he hit them in the pit of the stomach with his elbow, and sent them on a journey to dreamland.
“Sorry, but it’s an emergency, so forgive me. I did hold back though…”
Yuugo apologized to the men (and his master who taught him this technique) because depending on where they hit, these elbows could be really dangerous. He was relieved to see they were still breathing.
And Melt thanked him, also feeling relieved about escaping this predicament thanks to him.
“Thanks Yuugo. You really saved me. But who are these people?”
“I dunno, but the village is under attack by people acting like them. Apparently there are villagers among them too, so everyone’s baffled.”
“Really!? What about the girls staying here!?”
“Don’t worry, Zenon was the first person to notice this, and he evacuated with them. But it all happened so suddenly, that they forgot to come warn you here in the bathing area.
I also just happened to bump into them when I was going back to where I’m staying, and asked about you when I noticed you weren’t there. They told me you were still here… And I rushed here. I’m glad I got here just in time…!?”
Yuugo summarized the situation and told Melt why he was there, but as his head cooled off, it got heated again for a completely different reason.
That was a bathing area. Melt was in the middle of her bath when he jumped in.
That meant… Obviously, she was fully naked, and hiding the ‘important’ parts with her hands.
He did not intend for that to happen, but he ran into the bathing area without thinking when he heard her warn the intruders.
That meant he saved Melt from that trouble, but put himself in another type of risk.
“No, hum, sorry! It wasn’t on purpose! I was just in a panic too, so I forgot this was a bathing area… I’m sorry! I’ll keep watch outside, so get dressed quickly!!”
“Ah, Yuugo!?”
Yuugo saw things like how Melt’s chest changed shape as she hid their summits with her arm, and how her butt’s shape could still be seen from the front, behind her tight waist, and he ran from the bathing area while apologizing loudly.
He ran through the dressing room as well and only stopped outside, as Melt felt embarrassed and her face turned red, but she yelled towards the other side of the door.
“I don’t really mind! I get why you were in such a hurry, and you saved me thanks to that! You can see a little more, if you want.”
“Don’t be silly! Just get dressed quickly so we can join the others!”
Melt thought it was cute, how Yuugo was audibly shaken by what she said, that had a little teasing to it.
She was also embarrassed, but she knew he meant no harm, so if anything, she liked that reaction.
But that was no time to be thinking about that. Yuugo was right, they had to meet up with the other students.
“Thanks for waiting! Let’s go, Yuugo!”
“Yes, let’s hurry!”
Melt changed into her uniform, and ran out of the house with Yuugo, towards the building where the other students were gathered.
And what she saw on the way there was much more terrible than she thought.
