“Uooooh!!”
Hercus was the first to make a move. He held up the small hatchet in his left hand, and charged straight towards Yuugo.
He swung the hatchet down with a yell, but Yuugo was faster in moving close to him, and hit his chest with a palm strike. Hercus was pushed back, and forced to hold his breath.
“Gufuh…!?”
He was baffled by how he was hit by an attack when he should be the one on offense, and his chest hurt to the point where he forgot to breathe.
Angel watched this exchange, and commented on Yuugo’s moves with surprise.
“He has the guts to not be bothered by his opponent’s attack, and he’s fast too. I’m surprised by how agile he is with that armor. Has it been modded in some sort of special way?”
“No. I tuned it a little to match my big brother, but that wasn’t much. That’s all his own abilities.”
“What? That’s incredible! He’s drawing out better performance from Blaster than should be possible!”
Angel’s eyes shined when she heard Phi, and she began to watch Yuugo’s movements intently.
He used Blaster, an old model and heavy full armor magic item, but moved so quickly that she could hardly believe it. And the momentum of the duel was overwhelmingly in his favor.
He mostly refrained from moving out to attack. He evaded Hercus’ attacks, and countered with his own.
Like a bullfighter handling a raging bull, he quickly made up for the moments where dull movements inevitably happened due to him using an armor type, and cornered Hercus while not allowing him to get a single hit in.
“Ahh, ahh…! Dammit! Acting all cool and collected! Dodging all lightly!”
“Ooh, sorry. Then I’ll go head-to-head next time!”
“…!?”
Yuugo heard Hercus yell with irritation about him dodging all of his attacks, and responded while kicking the ground and jumping.
It was not just Angel who was dumbfounded by how he could move like that despite wearing that armor, so was his opponent. And as Yuugo fell, he used the momentum to unleash a powerful chop.
“Blaster Chop!!”
“Nuah!? Gah, guuh…!!”
Hercus managed to block with his hatchet just in the nick of time, but he still felt the powerful attack on his hands.
He turned pale, as he understood that the duel would have ended right there if that attack had really hit, and the technical students began to speak as if making fun of him.
“What’s with that? That Hercus must not be that big of a deal, if a guy wearing an old model magic item can trounce him like that.”
“His attacks are too simple and linear. Of course he’d get beaten doing that.”
They ridiculed Hercus for being toyed with by Yuugo, but Angel looked at them with cold eyes.
But she did not want to waste time watching idiots, and drew her attention back to watching Yuugo and evaluating the two people dueling.
(Yes, maybe it’s because he’s angry, but Hercus’ attacks are too simple and linear. But that doesn’t change how strong they are. It’s Yuugo who’s abnormal for continuing to deal with them with as little movement as possible.)
If those two making fun of Hercus faced Yuugo, they would without a doubt be KO’d in one move without being able to attack or defend.
Hercus’ moves were simple and linear, but not sluggish. And Angel could also see they carried a good amount of power.
Yuugo dodged everything, and even countered Not to mention how, with just one attack, he made Hercus shrink back despite how fired up he was to attack. It was clear Yuugo was the abnormal one here.
To someone just watching, it might have seemed like Hercus was weak, but Angel knew better, and was disappointed in her colleagues for not understanding it.
(I guess they don’t like Yuugo or Hercus, so they want to make fun of someone who’s not a big deal being beaten by someone who’s even less of a big deal. Pathetic… Estimating the skill of the users is supposed to be part of their job as craftsmen…)
Angel sighed, and wondered when the technical students became so good-for-nothing.
But she put aside her colleagues, whose judgment was clouded by how much they despised those two, and yelled to Yuugo, thinking she had to measure his power as best she could.
“Hey Yuugo! Are you hiding any secret skills? Let me see them if that’s not a problem.”
“Oh, you can tell that? That’s a craftsman for you…! Then here it goes… Super henshin!!”
Yuugo turned to Angel, who knew he was still not at full power, and activated Blaster’s ability he was hiding.
There was a dazzling violet light, and once it settled, the students saw his thick armor.
Even the students who hated him could not hide their surprise, as they were bewildered by Blaster transforming.
“The armor changed…? Judging by how its color changed, did the metal also change? No, the amount of magic energy in its metal particles? And even considering the form of the armor itself, it’s going over the amount of metal particles originally stocked in Blaster. How did he discover that form? How can Yuugo bring it out at will? Fascinating. So interesting…!!”
They had never seen armor change shape.
And it was no coincidence, Yuugo brought it out purposefully. Angel’s eyes shined even brighter, and with an almost mad smile on her face, she started mumbling what she was thinking.
Her large chest sprung forward in two different ways, as she was unable to contain her excitement and her breathing became rugged.
And she bluntly vocalized her mental state.
“I’m really gettin’… A tingle…!!”

Yeah Hercus is based on Kamen Rider Hercus from Kabuto God Speed Love.
He also has the hatchet which is the same armament from thr Kamen Rider.
