“India, South Africa, Russia, you are all expelled too!”
A man’s mad voice echoed in the virtual United Nations General Assembly.
Half of this man’s face was covered with metal, and he had several pipes and cables stuck to his head. His body was mostly turned into a cyborg. He was Xi Enpei, and now, he truly was an eternal emperor.
“Isn’t it enough to drive our world to its destruction you despot!?”
“What you’re doing is nothing more than a massacre!”
“We will retaliate with our entire nuclear arsenal!”
“Yes yes, everyone out! Click.”
He casually pressed the skull button, and a rainbow light came from orbit. India, South Africa, and Russia disappeared from the map into particles of light.
“Hyururu… Everyone who opposes me is an enemy! All enemies will be punished! Our justice is absolute! We are the center of this world!”
Xi Enpei’s high pitched laughter sounded like a mad flute, and it echoed loudly in the virtual United Nations General Assembly.
The heads of state of smaller countries that became followers of the Chinese Empire faced down with pale looks on their faces, and sparse, lifeless clapping was heard.
Many countries had disappeared from the planet at this point.
It all started with America and Japan, but Eurasia, Europe and Africa all had big holes, like the surface of the moon. Continental states were gouged out, and island nations were completely submerged. The remaining countries and people feared the desperate darkness and cold that covered the Earth, but still could not help but be silent towards the Chinese empire’s tyranny.
The destruction caused by the man-made calamity that was the disappearance of the United States and Japan caused large scale damage all over the world. The fallout alone destroyed almost half the countries on the planet.
The remaining countries joined together in defiance of the Chinese empire, but were defeated by their overwhelming military power. No one was left to defy them.
“Belarus, Turkmenistan, Eritrea, Laos…! I promise assistance to nations friendly to our eternal empire.”
“T-thank you great leader Xi Enpei… However… This is difficult to say but… The population of the world has dropped to only two hundred million… Any more and… We, the nations friendly to you, propose that you stop the destruction of the Earth…”
“Belarus, out. Begone.”

The great leader Xi Enpei was one step closer to his dream. Uniting the world under his name.
He was never closer to attaining everything he wished.
“Fuah… Fuahaha! Begone, begone, and begone! Disappear from this planet weakling nations! Begone uncivilized savages outside of the great Chinese empire! Begooooooone!”
He repeatedly pressed the skull button while maniacally laughing, and a country disappeared with every press. Only the Chinese empire remained.
As the surface of the Earth was carved, it was filled by the raging seas, and only the inland area of the large Chinese empire remained.
That day, when the Chinese empire fulfilled its ambitions and made the world ‘one’, the almost empty shell that was the planet Earth deviated from its regular orbit.
It drifted away, closer to Mars’ orbit, and the surface was rapidly becoming dimmer and colder.

“It was a success. I believe we have minimized damage done to the people of the countries that were transported.”
“Great…!”
Scientists aboard the station of the orbital satellite watched as the Earth froze.
It was the station of the great orbital satellite of the Chinese empire, Tiangong.
“Our power is nearing its limit, but we can observe the world parallel to ours. We have confirmed that the transported countries have been reconstituted…! They are stabilizing on this second Earth.”
“Ohh…!”
“Most people in mainland China have fled to neighboring countries as well. We succeeded in overturning this disaster. They were also transported to the new Earth along with the neighboring countries.”
“We did not manage to save everyone, but we did save these innocent people.”
The crew of Tiangong all had looks of relief on their faces.
Half of them were scientists who took part in the development of the inter-dimensional wave conversion radiation system, but after the disastrous events caused by the disappearance of the United States and Japan, they rose in revolt. They re-worked the inter-dimensional wave conversion radiation system in secret, and turned it into a device that only shifted dimensions, and then reconstituted the Earth as another planet.
“My heart feels heavy about betraying president Xi Enpei… But we have to at least preserve the conscience of our scientists.”
“Yes… Although my heart hurts over the sacrifice of Japan and the United States.”
The first two countries transported would not be a part of this second Earth.
“…The people of these two countries have become a soup of quantum information, and disappeared into an unknown dimension. Even we have no way of knowing what happened to them.”
As they watched the cold Earth, the scientists spoke quietly but resolutely.

The frozen husk of the former Earth continued to drift away, and only its ruler, the Chinese empire remained.
Tiangong would lose power before long. A heavy silence was felt between its crew, but they all had somewhat cheerful expressions.
“As we watch… The new world.”
A blue light reflected in their eyes, as a bright blue shine appeared in the Earth’s regular orbit.
It was the Earth, although a little smaller. This new land populated by humanity silently began to orbit the sun.
