Helvi realized Inessa had misunderstood something.

“Theo.”

Without warning or reason, Helvi called Theo and kissed him.

Inessa thought for sure they were brother and sister.

When a man and a woman introduced themselves with the same last name, it was only natural to assume they were either married or brother and sister.

The idea that they were married never once crossed Inessa’s mind.

This came as quite a shock for Inessa, who for a second thought Helvi might be interested in her.

Her face now seemed awkward, and the mature air around her dissipated.

(Hmph, good. Serves you well for thinking myself and Theo are not a good match.)

Helvi herself was not often looked down on. The mercenaries she just fought thought they were stronger, but that was quickly reversed.

However, Theo had been looked down on ever since he became a mercenary.

Helvi saw this when they formed a contract, and it filled her with rage.

She found looking down on Theo to be more unforgivable than looking down on her.

“A-are you alright? You look a bit down…”

“No… I-I’m fine… Yes…”

Inessa looked sad enough to worry Theo.

(I thought they were just siblings that got along very well, but to think they are actually married…)

Helvi saw this revelation really did cause a lot of damage.

Theo also started thinking, but could not find a solution.

Inessa thanked Helvi for her proposal with a bright expression, but Helvi looked at her with a cold one.

The carriage that Theo and Helvi rode on was small, so it was pulled by a dozen or so guards.
