I was reincarnated on an island where the strongest species live, so I will enjoy a peaceful life on this island – Chapter 114 – New shipwreck

The sunlight beaming through the curtains wakes me up, and I see Wil holding on to me under my covers.

To be more precise, she stuck her fangs in my neck while I was sleeping, and is sucking my blood.

“…What are you doing?”

“Having breakfast.”

She says while raising her head a little, looking like she doesn’t feel like she’s doing anything wrong, before plunging the fangs back.

And then she starts her vampiric actions.

I’ll feel sluggish right as the day starts, so I want to stop her, but for Wil, sucking blood is a means to live.

Just the other day, I wished she’d live, and after a lot happened, I ended up destroying the place where she lived, so I feel responsible.

Now she’s living here until her castle is fixed, and I have to let her do her vampire business so she can survive.

“By the way, can’t you eat Reina’s food?”

“Hn… Well, true ancestrals don’t need to eat to begin with.”

“…Then why are you doing this?”

“Because it’s tasty. And…”

The door opens, and Reina looks at us. That smile… Is really scary.

“…No Reina.”

“Yes, I know.”

“Because I want to see stuff like this.”

After grinning at the angry Reina, Wil opens her clothing and moves closer to me. Of course, we’re not about to do something dirty or anything, it’s just to provoke Reina and make her emotions swell.

“Wilhelmina, get away from him.”

“No. He’s not your man, is he? It’s fine then. Or…

Have you two done it already?”

“…!? O-of course not!”

Reina argues back with her face as red as her beautiful hair, but this is exactly what Wil wants.

She’s been grinning like this is the tastiest thing to her.

“Then you can’t complain if I do it now.”

“Y-you can’t do that so early in the day!”

“Hou, houhouhou! So it’s fine at night! I see!”

“Ah, that’s not what I…”

Wil gets away from me, and looks at Reina like she’s saying they have a deal.

Reina sees that too, and has a bewildered expression.

“Kukuku… Well then Arata, I will be coming by at night, so make sure you eat things to power up your juices.”

“N-no!? Arata, you’re fasting today!”

“That’s not fair…”

Wil laughs as she sees us, and goes back to her room.

◇ ◇ ◇

I’m walking to the coast with a fishing rod in hand.

One of my first memories of this world is the sound of the waves, and I like it a lot because it soothes me.

“She actually didn’t let me eat…”

After being teased since early in the day, Reina knew it was a joke, but was still suspicious.

Just in case! She said.

And so, there was the sad occurrence of everyone eating without me.

It’s not like this body will die if I don’t eat, and my sense of hunger is duller too, but it felt lonely sitting out while everyone enjoyed that food.

“And I was shocked when Snow got mad at me for making mom angry.”

And that’s the sad story of why I came here alone.

It’s like a drama I watched a long time ago, where a salaryman lost his job due to downsizing, and sat on a park bench because he couldn’t face his family and tell them.

“…No no, that’s not what this is.”

I get those ideas out of my head, and move to a rock that’s the best spot for fishing.

And on the way there, I notice a purple cap on the ground.

“Hn? Why is this here…”

It looks like a military cap, and not like something anyone on this island would wear.

And when I look at a spot a little far, I see someone lying on the beach.

“Hum…”

It’s hard to tell because of the long blonde hair, but it doesn’t look like someone of this island.

And since this is the third time, I sort of know what’s going on.

It’s probably someone who washed up here.

“I need to save her!”

I quickly approach her, and it looks like, unlike Reina, she didn’t drink any water from the sea, and her breathing is stable.

It was probably the shock that made her pass out.

“Thank goodness… Wait, her ears…”

Reina, Xellos, and Merlin are proof that people in the continent look like me. And yet, this girl’s ears are pointy, making me question if she’s human.

“She kind of looks like Wil…”

“Uu…”

I’m about to carry her to our house, when she wakes up.

My eyes meet her red eyes, and she looks surprised.

“Who are you…? No…”

“Ah, you’re awake. I’m…”

“Who am I?”

“…”

Is that where this is going?

I hold the soaking wet small girl, and wonder if I upset a god of mischief that’s probably laughing at me somewhere.

I really can’t remember when Wil’s castle was destroyed…
