Asks Reina, who is onboard with my idea.

I tell Snow to at least leave her face uncovered, as it looks like even that might end up becoming a snowball, and Reina and I leave to the divine beast people’s village.

There’s a proper path from our home to the village, so it’s smoother than walking on a troublesome mountain path.

I’ve been there and back a few times already, so my smell keeps monsters away and the path safe.

We know where they live, so we head there. This village is also full of people we know, so people greet us as we walk there. But then Reina asks a question.

“Why was Luna playing by herself?”

“Eh? Krr and Grr were there.”

“Yes… But she would usually come visit us.”

Luna drops by practically every day, unless she has something to do. She plays with Snow, goes out hunting with Xellos and Merlin, plays with Tiltue… Yes, it’s strange…

“I guess there are just days like these?”

We go up the stairs and past a torii, and into the area where the divine beast people live.

In the back there is the large mansion where their chief, Suzaku, lives, and there are other homes all around.

They frequently hold banquets in the center, but no one is here today.

After coming here a few times, we know where Elga’s house is, so we head straight there.

It’s a hot day, so the door is open. It feels defenseless, but the only people around are divine beast people and beast people, so I guess they’re pretty much a big family?

Elga has his head on Livia’s lap, she has her hand on his cheek, and they’re fooling around.

Livia looks happy, and they really look like a loving couple.

We leave, and go back to Luna.

She’s playing tag with Grr and Krr, so we sit with our backs against trees and watch them, until Luna comes over to us.

“Did you talk to Elga?”

“No, hum… We’ll do it later.”

I think I figured out why Luna is alone.

“It’s always like that when he’s done hunting.”

“I see.”

“That’s why Luna went away.”

It was like there were heart shapes around those two.

Even Luna isn’t brave enough to call out to them in that situation.

Someone who feels like a big brother was looking so sweet, that I feel like I saw a facet of him I shouldn’t have.

“How long does that go on for?”

“Hm, depends on the day, but maybe a bit longer.”

“Then let’s play a bit.”

“Really!? Yay!”

She usually comes over to us, so I think Luna is excited to play in the divine beast people’s village.

“Then Luna’s gonna take you where Luna plays!”

“Yes, lead the way.”

Krr and Grr look happy too, so she leads us with this happy mood around us.

Now I feel like we should’ve brought Snow with us.
