She says with a warm voice that feels like it’s wrapping around me.
I lightly pass my fingers through her hair, and she squints. Snow does the exact same thing. They really are family even if they’re not really related.
Reina caresses my cheek, and then my neck.
I also touch her cheek, and hold her closer like I’m handling a precious jewel.
She looks up at me with her crimson eyes, that are moist and expectant.
A hot breath leaves her lips, and we’re holding each other close enough that I can hear her heartbeat.
I’m not the only one who’s nervous.
“All this time… I’ve felt scared that if I said this, I would wake up.”
“…”
“But talking about our days together like this makes me really feel like they were real, so…”
I slowly put myself on top of her on the bed, and she doesn’t resist. She opens her arms, and puts them around my head.
My love for her fills my mind, and I say it.
“I like you Reina. I love you.”
“…”
She doesn’t say anything, prompting me to continue.
“So, stay with me forever, and be my actual family.”
The moment I say that, she pushes my head down.
Our lips touch, and a loving feeling that’s different from when we first met rushes through my body.
“I love you too.”
What happens next, I can’t say, but the sun is setting by the time we leave, and about three hours passed.
