Once the fight is over, it’s time for the customary banquet.
Suffice to say, the main dish is emperor boar.
Elga took it apart and Reina cooked it, but surely it won’t run out…
“Is what I was thinking.”
The divine beast people were led here by Suzaku, having heard of what was going on, and the demon gods and ancient dragons worked up an appetite.
And of course, Xellos, Arc, and the others joined us…
“When did you get here, Katima?”
“Hn… There was a tasty presence, so…”
She’s sharp… And she’s stuffing her cheeks with the meat she’s placing on a plate.
She’s not using the sauce Reina made. Is she just going to keep eating it like that?
“Here we go.”
But then she takes out a container from her waist and sprinkles white powder.
“…Katima?”
“No.”
“Is that alfar rock salt?”
“Katima said no! There isn’t a lot of it and it’s a lot of trouble to make!”
She hides it on her waist, but it’s definitely that high quality salt I tasted before.
Apparently there are places on this island where we can get salt, but this one is a lot tastier.
I silently present a plate, and Katima reluctantly sprinkles salt on it.
“Thanks.”
“…Don’t tell the others about this. Especially Reina!”
I wasn’t there, but apparently she really pestered her to learn how to get it.
Reina doesn’t back down when it comes to cooking, so she really wanted it.
“This really is impressive though…”
“Aren’t most races here?”
The southern great spirits are also here, along with the high elves.
Miss Miriel is going around bothering people, and Miss Phi is scolding her again.
And Miss Brynhildr is going around apologizing.
I want to say this banquet is an easygoing affair, but her seriousness is one of her qualities.
“Reina should take a break.”
“No, she’s fired up and having fun, so let her do what she wants.”
She’s cooking the meat really fast, and has a dodgy smile on her face, so I’m a little scared…
I don’t know when she caught him, but she’s having Xellos adjusting the fire, and Merlin and Cara running around serving the food.
Luna and Livia are helping her cook.
I feel like lately, Reina has been letting others inside when she cooks, so they’re getting better at it.
“Oh? Snow…”
Tiltue, the guest of honor, is surrounded by a lot of people, and Katima is here with me.
Luna is over there, so who is she with?
Just as I’m thinking that, I see her holding hands with Edinburgh.
I was a little worried about how that would turn out after she regained her memory, but I’m happy to see she’s as caring as before.
“It’s amazing how all that emperor boar meat is vanishing…”
“Even Katima can’t eat that much.”
Gaius and Gyes are next to each other, swallowing the emperor boar meat that’s being brought at an incredible speed.
Apparently they’re having an eating contest.
There are people of different races around them, peacefully making a big fuss over who’s going to win.
Last time it was just the divine beast people, so it took us a while to get through that meat, but it looks like this one will be finished in one day.
“It looks like Tiltue is having fun too. That’s nice.”
“Ah, that’s right. Arata, come here.”
“Hn?”
She suddenly grabs my hand and takes me to the middle of where everyone’s partying.
There I see Tiltue, having fun with people like Ceres and Erie.
I’m not crass enough to butt in.
But then Katima stops, and then jumps in there, stopping in front of Tiltue.
“I brought him like you asked.”
I guess there was a reason why Katima was with me.
Tiltue looks embarrassed, and like she has something to say.
“What is it?”
“H-hum, actually…”
She stutters, and the two behind her stand like they’re supporting her.
“Go for it!”
“Say it! You can do it now!”
“I… I also…”
It sounds important.
I look at her quietly, and she suddenly raises her head…
“I can’t do it yet!”
She yells, and runs from me.
“E-ehh?”
I don’t know what happened, so I freeze with my arm still stretched.
People around me start talking with a teasing tone about a lover’s quarrel so soon, but we’re doing well.
Although the way she ran away shakes my confidence a little…
I can also hear a very amused laugh above me, but I pretend it’s not there.
◇ ◇ ◇
After the banquet, people who drank too much fell asleep on the spot, and the night is silent.
Tiltue and I are together in bed.
This and Tiltue running away happened because she ate food Wil prepared.
As a result…
“Darling…”
Apparently there was blood wine in there, so she really wants to be pampered.
Wil didn’t use suggestion like she did before, so it’s nice that Tiltue’s sense of reasoning isn’t completely gone.
But she did strip off her clothes like they were bothering her, and pushed me into bed while hugging me.
Even if we’re married, I don’t feel like doing that with her.
She isn’t all too conscious of this sort of thing yet, and is happy just holding onto me.
She’s under the blanket, and looks happy.
Well, even if she’s drunk, I feel like I should leave, but when I try…
“Don’t you want to be with me?”
She says and starts crying, so I go back into bed.
Once she’s asleep, I think about killing time somewhere, but…
“Well, I feel like… Yes.”
She’s holding onto my arm too tightly, and I don’t think I can leave without waking her.
“Let’s let her have this.”
People of this island don’t really mind the passage of time, and don’t know their ages, but humans are different.
‘I can make the ancient dragon bigger if you’re so concerned about that.’
Said a bad vampire, but I said no. I love this Tiltue.
It’s not a matter of how she looks, her heart isn’t fully mature.
“Let’s go our own pace.”
“Hn… Darling… Love you…”
She’s talking in her sleep, but I still smile.
I can’t move with her holding me like this, but even that is adorable.
I also go to sleep, being careful not to wake her up.
I feel like I’ll have nice dreams today.
