I met the personification of Yggdrasil in a dream. But after talking about it with Reina, she accepts it and doesn’t seem particularly surprised.
“Aren’t you surprised?”
“Well, at this point, no.”
Tiltue is one thing, since she’s from this island, but I guess Reina is also used to this sort of thing.
She has a point though.
Also, I haven’t told them about the rings. I feel like stuff like the right mood is important for this sort of thing.
“But I see. Your mother is in Yggdrasil?”
“Yes. Well, it’s not like we’ve ever spent any time together.”
“Yes…”
Reina puts her finger on her mouth, and looks like she’s pondering something with a serious expression.
She’s kind of sexy when she’s like this, I like it…
I can’t say that to her because I’d sound like a pervert, but I stare at her without realizing it.
And after looking at her for a bit, she suddenly gets up.
“That settles it! Let’s go greet her!”
“Eh?”
“If she is your mother, that makes her our mother-in-law. We have to go meet her.”
And she might as well bring food, she says, fired up.
I guess I did ask Edinburgh for Reina’s hand in marriage, since she’s like her mother, so I see her point.
And I might as well tell her in person that I’m happy with my life, instead of in a dream.
“By the way, what would my mother-in-law like?”
“Eh? I dunno…”
I just learned I have a mother. And pretty much all I did was tell her about what happened since I got to this island.
That makes me realize I don’t know anything about her.
“That makes sense. Then I just have to do my best. And since we don’t know the situation, I should take things that keep for a long time…”
Reina starts mumbling about food with a serious expression.
She’s not listening to me anymore.
I think she’d just be happy about us going to see her… But it’s the thought that counts at times like these.
“Snow, Tiltue.”
“Hn? What?”
“What is it?”
Reina calls them to the kitchen as she starts to cook.
We talked about it when I woke up, but when we say we’re going to Yggdrasil…
“Snow’s gotta pack lots of toys!”
Snow dashes out to get her backpack.
I don’t think it can fit a lot…
“A-and what should I…”
“Eh? What?”
“Reina is bringing food, right? But I can’t do anything… Or show anything…”
“Hm… I get the feeling she won’t mind that…”
That was the feeling I got from her.
But I’m introducing my wives, so if one brings food and the other does nothing, I can see why she’d be self-conscious.
“Then let’s cook together.”
“Eh?”
Reina, who’s now wearing an apron, peeks out from the kitchen, and Tiltue looks like she’s taken aback.
“We are supporting Arata together.”
“…Are you sure?”
“Of course.”
Tiltue’s expression turns bright, and she happily heads to the kitchen.
I’m just glad my wives are friends.
◇ ◇ ◇
We’re going there tomorrow, and I’m playing with Snow while the others are busy preparing.
And since Edinburgh brought Wil and Zephir over for dinner, she has no shortage of people to play with.
“I see, the personification of Yggdrasil…”
Whispers Wil from the loser’s seat after losing to Snow in othello.
“What about her?”
“I knew about her, but I have never met her.”
“Eh?”
This island was created to contain Wil, so logically, she’s the oldest one here.
I heard she fought god and Miss Miriel and the others at first…
“The world will crumble if Yggdrasil happens to die. I understand why she didn’t come out when we were fighting, but… Perhaps…”
“Perhaps?”
“…No, there is no point thinking about it.”
That sounds a little ominous, so I wish she’d stop.
And I think she knows I’m thinking that, because a nasty smirk forms on her face.
“More importantly… It looks like you have something interesting with you.”
“…”
“Come on, let us see it.”
Her eyes are full of confidence.
I have the rings I got from my mother in the Storage Magic, but…
She’s really sharp sighted. I haven’t even told anyone about these!
I give up and take them out, and she smiles with joy.
“So what are you going to do? Hnn?”
I peek over to the kitchen, and the two girls are too busy cooking to look over here.
“…Give them to them, obviously. In a romantic setting, if possible…”
“Buha!”
Wil can’t contain her laughter.
“That’s just awful.”
“Hahaha! Sorry sorry, that wasn’t good!”
Edinburgh turns this way to see why Wil is laughing, but turns back to her battle with Snow.
Also, Wil made sure to contain her laughter enough for Reina and Tiltue to not hear it.
“Well… No matter what happens, make sure this innocence of yours never goes away. I’d die if it did.”
She cackles, and I wish she’d stop making fun of me.
She’s always so rude.
“So what’s the plan? I can grade it for you.”
“I won’t tell you. And I definitely won’t do it in front of you.”
“That’s a shame. Well, I’ll just peek anyway.”
“…”
There’s no doubt she can watch without us noticing her if she really tries.
She used to come here precisely when Reina was bathing…
But even if she says she can use magic to watch from far away, no matter how little she has going on, she can’t be watching all the time.
“Well, these things don’t happen every day, so enjoy it to the fullest.”
“…Yes.”
Picturing myself giving them the rings makes me a little nervous.
How much worse will that get when it’s time to actually do it…
But Arc went through it too.
If my younger friend did it, I can’t falter.
I touch the rings in my breast pocket, and look at the two girls preparing for tomorrow.

Thanks for the treat.
