“W-what are they doing?”
“Is that.. Watermelon splitting?”
Everyone’s riling him up because he hit the completely wrong direction.
Ancient dragons and divine beast people both look like they’re having fun.
“Ah, Snow and the others are there too.”
They probably heard that noise and want to give it a try.
They came back to the beach after using the raft like a jet ski.
Katima is among them, swaying as she walks.
“K-Katima’s tired…”
“Thanks for always playing with Snow.”
“Ooh… Your words of gratitude reach my heart… Katima’s a high alfar, so it only makes sense to look after great spirits.”
I’m sure she wants to sit down on the beach and rest.
I go to Merlin, get some juice, and give it to Katima.
She gulps it down, and exhales like she really enjoyed it.
“Katima’s back to life…”
“I feel like that could’ve been a commercial.”
Needless to say, she doesn’t understand. She tilts her head, but since it’d be hard to explain, I tell her it’s nothing.
“…Katima’s a great alfar.”
“Hn?”
“But it’s still hard to keep up with Miss Snow and Tiltue, so Katima’s taking a little break.”
She didn’t have to announce it like that, but I guess that’s just like Katima.
She then lies down, and I can hear her sleeping.
“Won’t it be bad for her to sleep here?”
“I think it’s fine. We can sleep outdoors too if we need to.”
“Yes.”
Well, I did that the day I got to this island.
It was nothing thanks to this body, but if I was still on Earth, I would’ve been lucky if only my whole body hurt.
“Ah, it’s Snow’s turn.”
She covers her eyes, grabs a small club, and starts staggering.
I get closer to get a better look, and see everyone cheering her on.
“There!”
“Ei!”
She follows Tiltue’s voice, and swings down…
“““Ugyaaaaaa!?”””
Ice and snow rage with incredible force, blowing away everyone in their path.
“Oh?”
She doesn’t know what happened, and tilts her head after taking off the blindfold.
The ones who weren’t hit are relieved, as the ones who were twitching on the sand.
Ancient dragons who are sensitive to the cold look particularly bad.
That’s a great spirit… Even as a kid, she’s very powerful.
“The plan worked!”
“Fufufu, I’m always the one being hit, so you get a taste from the sidelines!”
Tiltue and Luna high five.
It looks like they planned this prank from the start.
“Damn you…!”
“Run Luna!”
“Yes!”
One of the people blown away, Gyes, jumps up and runs around after Tiltue and Luna.
At this rate Snow will be left alone, so I pick her up, as she tries to understand what happened.
“Ah, daddy!”
“Good job.”
“Yes! But the watermelon is frozen.”
It’s rolling on the sand, completely frozen.
Too bad, I don’t think this is getting eaten for a while.
“We have more.”
Looks like the divine beast people brought a lot.
I talk about games from my world and stuff like that sometimes, and they look happy to be able to replicate them.
“But since it’s frozen, Snow should only watch.”
“Yes… Ah!”
She taps my body, signaling for me to put her down.
She’s looking at Luna who’s on the raft, and Tiltue who is pulling it as they run from Gyes.
She wants to join them, but she can’t catch up at this point.
“Arata, can you take her there?”
“Yes. How about you come too, Reina?”
“Eh? Yes…”
Her face is turning red… And then I realize something.
They’re already out on the sea, so I have to fly. But Reina can’t fly with magic, so I’d have to hold her in her swimsuit.
It would be one thing if we were alone, but it’s embarrassing with so many people around.
But if she really had a problem with that, she would say so. If she says she wants to go, she means it.
We’re engaged after all.
With that strong card as a shield, I put Snow on my shoulders.
“Ready!?”
“Yes…”
I put my arm under her knees, holding her in a princess carry.
I can hear her breathing on my ear, and it makes my heart beat faster.
This isn’t the first time we’ve done this, but I’m in my swimming trunks and she’s in her swimsuit, so we’re both more nervous than usual.
“Ooh!”
“Nice nice!”
“Whew whew!”
I hear whistling as people around us make fun.
If I respond they’ll just get carried away, so I keep flying.
“Yay!”
“Ah, Snow! Hang on to my head with both hands!”
“Yes!”
I say to Snow as she raises her hands, and she does as I said.
Reina is quiet, probably feeling embarrassed about being in my arms.
We approach Tiltue and Luna, and Gyes and the others swimming rapidly behind them.
It doesn’t look like they want to give up.
“Wait!”
“Tiltue! They’re coming!”
“I know! These guys are stubborn! Get away from us!”
We approach them as they play tag, and descend on the raft.
“Ah! Hi mister!”
“Darling!? And Reina!?”
“Snow wanted to ride the raft again.”
“I see! Sorry for leaving you!”
Unlike Luna, who’s just riding the raft, Tiltue is flying, so she sounds rougher.
I put them down, and fly next to Tiltue.
“Do you want me to pull?”
“Mu? Really?”
“Of course. You’ve been pulling everyone today.”
I’m sure it’s more fun to ride the raft.
I take the strong rope, and go a little faster after seeing she’s on the raft.
“Oooh!”
“Hahahahaha!”
“Yay!”
The kids are excited.
I wonder if Reina is okay, but she’s blocking the wind with magic and having fun.
“Bro! Hand ’em over!”
“I’m surprised they can yell while swimming that fast…”
Gyes and the others speed up even more.
It’s a little scary. They’re really not letting them go.
“Ei.”
“Hn?”
I hear a cute voice, and when I turn around, I see Snow swinging her finger down.
At the same time, a wall of ice forms between them and the raft
“Guoh!?”
“Ah…”
They weren’t looking ahead.
The demon gods crash against the wall at an incredible speed.
Snow’s ice wall is pretty tough, as it still doesn’t break. And they all sink one after the other…
“Oh…”
We stop hearing sounds behind us, only Snow’s voice I can’t quite describe echoes.
Thanks for the treat.
