When we go inside, we’re greeted by a rugged looking man with a white beard… Or should I say intimidating?
He has a humanoid upper body, and his lower body is like a squid’s, with ten legs.
His voice is strangely hoarse, but carries enough weight to make the ocean shake.
As for strength… I think he’s about on par with Suzaku and the others. It makes sense, you’d have to be strong to bring together a whole race on this island.
There’s a girl next to him that’s like a small mermaid, and looks like Livia…
“Welcome back big sister!”
The girl swims fast and hugs Livia, who catches her without any hesitation.
“Now now Levi, that’s not proper.”
“It’s fine. It’s always like…”
The girl called Levi glares at Elga.
“Because that mutt keeps hogging you!”
“Don’t say mutt.”
“Eh… He shamed you by not even proposing by himself. He deserves it.”
Elga looks awkward. I wouldn’t like hearing that in front of my wife’s father either.
She looked so pure when she hugged Livia, but her expression has taken a turn for the bad…
“Well… I understand my big sister being too beautiful to approach. But as a man… Isn’t that lame, Mister Elga?”
The girl called Levi goes next to Elga and looks up while provoking him. I think she said mister in the end just to make him angrier too.
Elga’s shaking, but not saying a word.
Normally he’d mercilessly scold a kid that talked to him like this, but he can’t be that rough with his sister-in-law.
Although I doubt Livia will allow this to go on for much longer, considering how much she loves him…
“Mutt is a good enough word for a lame dog…”
“Levi?”
“…!? Ah…?”
The moment she turns around, a strange sound echoes.
Then the girl called Levi turns her head in a weird direction, and floats limply.

I didn’t see anything. It felt like she twisted her neck with both hands, but I didn’t see anything.
So Livia isn’t looking at her sister with scary eyes either.
And sure enough, Reina and Merlin turn away too.
“I think we need to greet each other properly.”
Livia claps, and we silently nod.
“It’s been a while, father.”
“Elga. I’m glad you’re still getting along with them.”
“Livia’s one thing, but Levi hates me…”
“She doesn’t. She’s just spoiled ’cause you can take it all.”
Snow starts poking the girl that’s floating like a dead fish.
She shows no sign of recovering any time soon.
“But now you can see me in the sea… And there’s even an ancient dragon. It looks like the surface changed a lot.”
“Yeah. Stuff that would be unthinkable before is happening, so there’s a lot to talk about…”
Elga puts his arm around my neck and pushes me forward to introduce me.
“Things have gotten pretty lively on the surface ever since Arata arrived. And interesting.”
“Elga…”
I’ve basically been doing what I want ever since I got here, so it wouldn’t be weird for people to not like me.
I was a little apprehensive about it, but if the guy that took me in like a brother says that, I’m happy.
“I see, interesting… That’s what’s important.”
Livia’s father squints a little and smiles.
He looks at me, and slowly approaches.
“I’m Hafgufa, the Kraken divine beast.”
“I’m Tiltue, the Bahamut of the ancient dragons!”
“Snow!”
He shakes everyone’s hands with his tentacles, as they all introduce themselves.
He looks a little scary, but his eyes are gentle as the kids introduce themselves full of energy, and he seems nice.
“I’m Arata. Livia looks after me a lot.”
“This is a place that only exists in the sea. Have fun while you’re here.”
“Yes, thank you for having us.”
“Father, this is Merlin, the one who created the magic that allowed Elga to get here.”
“Ooh, I see. Wonderful!”
“H-hello…”
Merlin looks a little scared, like she wasn’t excited about seeing the underwater temple just minutes ago.
I think she can feel the power of the strongest races on her skin, but she’s been interacting with people like Suzaku, and she’s with Tiltue all the time, so I thought she was over that.
I’m sure she’ll get used to it.
“I heard you were coming, so I prepared an event.”
“Event?”
We all look confused, except for Livia, who smiles.
